AKSHAY CHANDRASHEKHAR
[edit]Akshay Chandrashekhar is an Indian Actor, Producer and Entrepreneur who works primarily in Kannada films. Akshay made his acting debut in a national award winning kannada short film which goes by the name “MAHAAN-HUTATMA”, which is also significantly notable for being first ever kannada language short film to win national film award – special mention for a non feature film at 66th national film awards,2019. The film “MAHAAN-HUTATMA” was even produced by Akshay under his own production company which goes by name “Akshay Entertainment” which is based in Bangalore, Karnataka.
EARLY & PERSONAL LIFE:
[edit]Akshay was born on 31st December, 1993. Completed his early schooling in assumption school Hiriyur, Chitradurga; Akshay further continued his high school education at Chandargi Sports School, Chandargi, Belgaum. Later Akshay went on to complete his PU Education from Basaveshwar Science College, Bagalkot followed by graduation from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, Karnataka.
CAREER:
[edit]Being a versatile actor in nature Akshay started his acting career while doing a solo stage performance in the year of 2017, March 27th at a theatre in Dharwad where Akshay played the role of Mohammad Bin Tugluq. Later in September, 2017 Akshay also did a Kannada group stage theatre performance which goes by the name, “ONDU SAINIKANA VRITANTA”.
Akshay’s versatility in his acting career can also be seen his entrepreneurial journey where he started his own software company while undergoing his graduation at Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, Karnataka.
Later in the year 2018 Akshay went on to start his own production company which goes by the name, “AKSHAY ENTERTAINMENT”, which is based in Bangalore, Karnataka
“MAHAAN HUTATMA” is a 2018 Kannada short film directed by Sagar Puranik and produced by Akshay Chandrashekhar, under the banners of Akshay Entertainment in Associate with Puranik Productions. Starring Akshay Chandrashekhar, Sagar Puranik, Adhvithi Shetty and Srinath, It is the first Kannada-language short film to win National Film Award – Special Mention for a non-feature film at 66th national film awards, 2019.
“MAHAAN HUTATMA” the national award-winning short film which directly translates into “The Great Martyr” is a dedication to the martyred freedom fighters and the Indian and elders Army for their selfless sacrifice. The movie revolves around how Bhagat Singh and his team fought with British for during Indian freedom struggle and the situations faced by them during the struggle. The film also to a great deal speaks about the aftermath consequences faced by the family of freedom fighters.
