Sul y Blodau (Flowering Sunday) is the Welsh word for Palm Sunday (the Sunday before Easter Day) when flowers were placed on graves in Wales during the second half of the 19th century. The evidence indicates that before 1800, flowers decorated graves on Easter Sunday in at least some areas.
