The Bluebook template family comprises:
- {{Bluebook journal}}doc
- {{Bluebook website}} (alias {{Bluebook web}})doc
- {{Bluebook book}}doc
- {{Supra}}doc
- {{Supra footnote}} (alias {{SupraFn}})doc
These five templates create a mostly-faithful implementation of Bluebook citation style, the recommended format for articles on American law per MOS:LAW. The first three are used for first-reference citations, while the latter two are used for short citations, akin to {{sfn}} and {{harvnb}}.
The {{Bluebook meta}} template (which should not be transcluded directly) provides a common framework for the journal, website, and book templates, and has three subpages of note:
- Template:Bluebook meta/messages (alias {{Bluebook messages}}), for error messages
- Template:Bluebook meta/ref (alias {{BluebookRef}}), a customized wrapper for {{SfnRef}}
- Template:Bluebook meta/styles.css, defining common styles
