I'm a huge fan of Wikipedia, and am always anxious to learn more about it. I've been part of the conversation about the relationship between the marketing / communications industry and the Wikipedia community at CREWE for the past few years.

On behalf of my previous firm, Ogilvy & Mather, where I was EMEA Managing Director of digital and social media, I am a signatory to the Wikipedia:Statement on Wikipedia from participating communications firms.

For that reason, I don't make edits to Wikipedia pages, as there is always a potential problem with either real or perceived conflict of interest. I use this account to engage with editors with the aim of, hopefully, being helpful to both the Wikipedia community and my clients.
