Ivette Corredero
[edit]Of Cuban and Dominican descent, Corredero graduated from South Miami High School, after which she became a communications arts major at St. Thomas University. While attending, she was awarded the Susan E. Sachs Scholarship by the Atlantic-Florida Chapter of The Association for Women in Communications. The award is given to top communications students, and Ivette was its first recipient.
In this season, dubbed the Summer of Secrets, each contestant had a secret partner, that they knew before the show. Ivette's secret partner was Beau Beasley, a former co-worker. If the two partners had made it to the end, the prize money would have been $1,000,000. However, Beau was eliminated before Ivette, so the prize money remained at $500,000.
