My Chemical Romance single
[edit]I have been seeing this a lot lately and am wondering if you could tell me where the source is for "Dead" being the second single off of The Black Parade. I am not picking on you or anything but I have found no where that "Dead" is the next single. As far as I am aware the band has said nothing about Dead being the second single. A tag has been placed on I Don't Love You, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article is a repost of either already posted material, or of material that was previously deleted in a deletion debate, such as articles for deletion. If you can indicate how I Don't Love You is different from all other articles, or if you can indicate why this article should not be deleted, I advise you to place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article, and also put a note on Talk:I Don't Love You saying why this article should stay. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. "Good Life" release date
[edit]Seriously, why are you making this so hard? The song was released to iTunes AS A SINGLE on September 11th. Go check iTunes yourself, the song is #3 on the iTunes Top 100. Yes, I see you have a source for the single's radio release date but that is most likely the release date for that particular station or circuit as "Good Life" has been playing on the radio since September 11th. Look at my edits and look at yours, please. I am not trying to insult you, but I clearly have the experience you do not and I know what I am talking about. --Ayoleftyz 03:03, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- ALSO, what day was the "Good Life" video released? September 11th! Why in the world would he release his video on September 11th if the release date is indeed October 1st? That makes absolutely no sense, further proving my point. --Ayoleftyz 03:06, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- Can you tell me why he would release his video on the same day that "Good Life" was supposedly not released? It just seems all too coincidental for me but whatever haha. --Ayoleftyz 03:14, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- Again, September 11 may be when the video and digital release of the song were, but it is NOT when the song was released as a single. A singles release date is when it is officially sent out to radio as well as physically released. Now I'm unaware of if the single has been physically released or when it will be, usually singles are typically physically released the same day as the radio release but I can't prove that in this case, so as a compromise we can put the digital release date as September 11, and the radio release date as October 2 if you would prefer. WIKI-GUY-16 03:22, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- Dude, I'm sorry to say but you don't know what you're talking about. Look at this, Wikipedia:WikiProject Songs#Infobox Single, the EARLIEST known date... who is right? Now the page is administrator only protected and can't be edited haha. --Ayoleftyz 15:27, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- I'm sorry to say, but you're the one that doesn't get it. I don't understand why you have to make this so hard. When it says the earliest date, it means the earliest date the SINGLE is released NOT the song itself. What if say Champion is released in the future, would that mean that it was released on September 11, because that's when it was available for digital download? NO!! That's when the song was released because thats when the album was released, its not when the single was released. I don't get what you don't understand, theres a difference between when the song was released, which is the same day as Graduation, and when the song is released ss a single, which in the case of Good life is October 2! I'm glad the page is locked for now on October 2. WIKI-GUY-16 15:59, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- First of all, you don't reply on your own page, you reply on mine. Also, the song has charted and was officially released on September 11th with video, good day. --Ayoleftyz 20:39, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

All-American Girl
[edit]Just letting you know that All-American Girl is indeed at #1 on the Billboard/R&R country charts. Please see this page. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshells•Otter chirps) 01:55, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
- Billboard Hot Country Songs is the same as R&R's Country chart. Even though Billboard's page doesn't yet show the song as being at #1, the R&R chart highlights page indicates that the song is indeed at #1 on the country charts. The R&R chart highlights, which are placed on Monday, always match with that Thursday's chart (also, R&R places the charts on Wednesday mornings). I have done this before with no problems. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshells•Otter chirps) 02:17, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
- Also, Hot Country Songs is an airplay-only chart, so "it's not the same as an airplay chart" is immaterial. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshells•Otter chirps) 02:18, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
- R&R merged with Billboard in 2006. The R&R country chart is exactly the same as the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. Compare the 3/8 charts here: R&R for 3/8 vs. Billboard for 3/8; they sure look the same to me. Mediabase and R&R are no longer affiliated. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshells•Otter chirps) 02:32, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
- That's okay, you just made a simple mistake because you were unaware of a key piece of information; I knew all along that you were editing in good faith. I usually add the information as it becomes available -- in other words, the Chart Highlights info on Monday, and the rest of the Hot Country Songs chart when it's posted on R&R's website on Wednesday. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Broken clamshells•Otter chirps) 02:44, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

Just for now.....
[edit]Hold on with the #1 thing - no idea why but in addition to your source, a Billboard source has "Low" at #1 for an eleventh week. Probably best to just sit tight til the full chart is online. [2] - eo (talk) 03:22, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
- I don't doubt that Yahoo! is reliable at all - and I saw on the page that their source was directly from LaFace.... I just want to prevent edit warring, as you can put your source there then someone else can come along and say "I've got this Billboard source...." Seems strange that these sources are both out there, but since it's just gonna be a couple of hours we may as well hold off. - eo (talk) 03:32, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
- Howdy! Charts are out, I restored your source as someone had removed it, whew. Just a heads up that I removed your "songs that debuted at #100..." section from List of Hot 100 (U.S.) chart achievements and trivia, only because that is a section that used to be in that article but was removed the last time it was cut down to shorten the article. In fact, that article needs pruning again anyway, it just constantly gets too long as people add a million things. See ya later. - eo (talk) 12:29, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
The discussion about American Idol and Jeff Buckley's chart performance on iTunes is still ongoing. As someone that posted this previously, I thought you might be interested. I keep hearing that this is "original research" (despite the correlation being mentioned in places like Rolling Stone) and it is reverted. 66.182.71.226 (talk) 18:07, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Thunder's Arena
[edit]A tag has been placed on Thunder's Arena requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Ejay (talk) 05:38, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop deleting sourced content on the Archuleta article. There is no reason to delete the Boy's Life reference. There's also no reason to delete his two singles and their references from 2002 and finally there's no reason to seperate his singles by those that are downloaded. We serve our readers are whether or not you feel that content and its verifiability are important they certainly do and it's policy. We have two very short charts - one for singles and one for albums. If for some reason there is a need to create a third chart for downloaded only singles please gain consensus to do so. -- Banjeboi 22:39, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
and again
[edit]Hi, you seem to want to contribute but your very bold changes might be a bit over the line in this case. There doesn't seem to be any compelling reason to have two charts both for singles. If you really believe an additional chart is needed start a section on the article talkpage. It also could be that in the future and additional chart would make sense. -- Banjeboi 02:30, 16 November 2008 (UTC)

Message from the My Chemical Romance task force
[edit]Hello!
You may be interested to know that the WikiProject My Chemical Romance has recently been transformed into a task force of WikiProject Emo. Please visit the task force page to see what's new. This move allies the task force with a larger WikiProject that handles much of the administrative overload, thus allowing task force members to focus on the most important activity: article improvement.
The project's membership list has also been moved to the new task force page. If you see that your username is in the "Inactive/former members" section, please do not take offense; this is because you no longer appear to be active on Wikipedia. We may also take the liberty of removing the member userbox from your userpage if it appears there, to prevent you from automatically appearing in Category:My Chemical Romance task force members. Of course you are free to rejoin the task force and re-add the userbox at any time if you would like to become active again.
For active editors, it is our hope that this change will help spur you to improve articles related to My Chemical Romance. You may have noticed that the old My Chemical Romance project userbox on your user page has automatically changed to the new task force userbox. We may take the liberty of fixing the template link on your userpage, to avoid redirects.
Thank you and we hope you will continue to support the My Chemical Romance task force!
You are receiving this message because you have previously identified yourself as a member of WikiProject My Chemical Romance, either because your name appeared on the project's Participants page or because you have placed the project userbox on your user page. As a courtesy, if you have left the project, retired from Wikipedia, or simply no longer wish to be an active member of the task force, please remove the userbox from your user page. This will remove you from Category:My Chemical Romance task force members and help the task force to keep its active membership list up-to-date. |
