Welcome!

[edit]

Hi, אוהד בר-און, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question.

However, there is a small issue with your username. As it is not in Latin script, it may not display correctly for many other users. Although usernames like yours are not prohibited, Wikipedia's signature guideline and username policy encourage you, as a courtesy to other users, to alter your signature so that it also includes a transliteration of your username using Latin characters, so others can see it correctly. For the how-to of tailoring your username, please see WP:CUSTOMSIG.

Thanks, and feel free to message me about anything. Peaceray (talk) 03:26, 9 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I have no idea why my IP is blocked. I did nothing wrong and I want to edit on Wikipedia.

Decline reason:

Procedural decline only. You forgot to tell us your IP address so we can't investigate your claim. You can find this using WhatIsMyIP. If you don't wish to provide this publicly, you may use WP:UTRS to provide the IP address privately. Yamla (talk) 16:20, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Stips (Israeli website) moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Stips (Israeli website). Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it needs more sources to establish notability. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. MarioGom (talk) 00:28, 19 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@MarioGom I honestly don't think the article needs any additional sources. Well, I have been active in the site of Stips for more than two and a half years. I am very knowledgeable about its history and structure. All the things I mentioned in the article are 100% true, and I am sure of it. Please take this into account. אוהד בר-און (talk) 16:59, 19 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Almost every link leads to Stips. You need independent secondary reliable sources. MarioGom (talk) 08:36, 20 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry, what's wrong with links that lead to Stips? They are more reliable than the others, it's the words of the site stuff. If there is a controversial statement, you can add the "citation needed" thing. I don't think I can find any independent, secondary sources. It's just a website, where can I find reliable sources if not in the site itself or internet articles? אוהד בר-און (talk) 14:10, 20 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Specifically, you may want to read WP:SIGCOV. We need independent sources. Sourcing from the company is not independent. JML1148 (talk | contribs) 05:20, 3 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@JML1148
Hey, please help me. The article was deleted, however I need to find the content. I don't want to recreate the article, but can I have it as a draft again? Thank you. אוהד בר-און (talk) 13:48, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

April 2024

[edit]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Human–dinosaur coexistence, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. You used self published and Creationist sources, none of which we can use for your text. Doug Weller talk 18:52, 7 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Isn't the title describing historical artwork and artifacts concerning dinosaurs? Why not to show the Creationist findings and let the biologists contradict them? אוהד בר-און (talk) 20:04, 7 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think you could have read the article. We mention Creationists' beliefs a number of times. Your edit was redundant. Doug Weller talk 07:42, 8 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I doubt it. These are different findings .. אוהד בר-און (talk) 09:14, 8 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It doesn't matter, we have enough and sourced properly, not to lying sites. Doug Weller talk 11:48, 8 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics

[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to pseudoscience and fringe science, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
