Igneous

[edit]

I found that in the wiki page it is mentioned that "IGNI" comes from Latin. It actually comes from the Sanskrit word 'AGNI' meaning FIRE. 12 Kris

Igneous comes from Latin. Both the Latin and the Sanskrit words come from the Proto-Indo-European h₁n̥gʷnís, but the Latin word does not come from Sanskrit. – Thjarkur (talk) 09:06, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yes Sir. But mentioning Latin as the source when Sanskrit, which is older is not correct. It would have been fair if "Proto-Indo-European" was used. If that is not accepted as a language, the older language should have been mentioned as the source. 12kris
