Hello. Please note that fine arts and athletics fall under largely the same rules as to whether or not it should remain in the article. If there are not secondary reliable sources available, then it likely should not be in the article (there are exceptions, such as principal name). Per WP:BURDEN, it is the responsibility of the editor to provide citations, and any unsourced material can be removed. It is often the case that people may place a "citations needed" tag where sources are uncited. However, I have found too often that extracirricular information can only be found from primary sources, if any source at all. On the contrary, athletics almost always has valid sources, particularly MaxPreps.
In the future, note that Wikipedia takes conflict of interest seriously. While I encourage you to play an active role in contributing to your school's article, it is vital that you do so conservatively. I will temporarily leave your edit unchanged, but please provide secondary reliable sources or I will remove it. Any unsourced/improperly sourced information can be removed.
With that being said, my usage of the word "notable" was careless. While the school's fine arts program is unnotable, notability on Wikipedia merely means whether a topic should have its own article, thereby making the unnotability irrelevant. That does not change my challenge to the fine arts content on the article, just correcting my word usage.
If you have any concerns, or would like to challenge my interpretation of Wikipedia policies and guidelines, please do so. If you would like to learn more about them, you can do so at WP:PG. TheGEICOgecko (talk) 02:48, 30 June 2023 (UTC)
- I have removed the section, as there has not been a response in a month. Please do not readd the section without a tangible indication of an effort to add reliable secondary sources to the section.TheGEICOgecko (talk) 22:03, 24 July 2023 (UTC)
