Film genres

[edit]

I'm going to repost what I said on your previous IP address:

Thank you for taking the time to edit Wikipedia's articles on animated films, but you should take a look at MOS:FILM, our style guideline on films. This advises us not to load up the opening sentence with genres. Once you get beyond one or two genres, it starts getting to be too much. Just stick to the primary genre, such as action film or comedy film. Loading up the opening sentence with four or five genres just confuses the issues. Also, genres should ideally be sourced. Not every film with a car chase is an action film, and not every film with a tense scene is a thriller. These genres should be backed up by sources in the article. You need to use a wp:reliable source

[edit]

For The Croods, for instance, https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_croods states Action & Adventure, Animation, Comedy, Kids & Family You need to use a source, not what you think it is which is called wp:original research. Thank you Jim1138 (talk) 06:03, 15 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
