Better refs needed

[edit]

Your refs in the draft are to content written BY Tepikin. His books can be listed in a Bibliography section. Refs not needed there. What is essentially needed is referenced content written ABOUT Tepikin. David notMD (talk) 16:08, 2 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I did some copyediting of text and removed the refs that were confirmations of his books. Refs needed about him. David notMD (talk) 18:32, 2 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

More not better

[edit]

I am completely unfamiliar with literature on Russian intelligentsia (or any other intelligentsia), so my only advice will be from perspective of being at Wikipedia for a while. For your article to succeed you need at least three references to published articles that are ABOUT Tepikin. Much of what you are filling the draft with does not help, and only annoys any reviewer/editor. Think shorter. This is radical, but the entire Theses section is of no help at all. When I read it, I can not understand how it relates to Tepikin. And it is not referenced. Likewise, the Links section is of no benefit, and should be deleted. Articles VVT has published could be added to the section that was Books, now Bibliography. This type of content does not convey notability in the Wikipedia sense, but it is allowed. Do not include interviews. All paragraphs in the Biography need at least one reference. If there is no reference, then delete the content, even if it is true. Good luck. I believe VVT is notable enough to justify an article, but it will have to be much more concise to be approved. David notMD (talk) 14:58, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I re-reviewed the draft: I work very frequently here with academic articles, including those ofRussian academics, and I do know a little Russian. It does meet our notability standard for WP:CREATIVE and WP:PROF. it just needs some adjustment. . You can see my comments on the draft article. DGG ( talk ) 17:18, 6 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
