Information icon Please do not remove information from articles, as you did to Warren Ellis . Wikipedia is not censored, and content is not removed on the sole grounds of perceived offensiveness. Please discuss this issue on the article's talk page to reach consensus rather than continuing to remove the disputed material. If the content in question involves images, you also have the option to configure Wikipedia to hide the images that you may find offensive. Your edits have been reverted. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources & Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons for more information. Sariel Xilo (talk) 04:21, 13 November 2020 (UTC)

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Warren Ellis. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose their editing privileges on that page. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to result in loss of your editing privileges. Thank you. If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Information icon Hello, I'm Manticore. I noticed that you made a comment on the page Talk:Star Trek: Discovery that didn't seem very civil, so it may have been removed. Wikipedia is built on collaboration, so it's one of our core principles to interact with one another in a polite and respectful manner. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Manticore 23:58, 11 February 2022 (UTC)

  • I'm not sure what your beef is with CreecregofLife, but edits like this one start to raise questions of whether you're here to improve the encyclopedia or just antagonize other users. Please put your energy into edits that are collaborative and within the guidelines of the project. —C.Fred (talk) 14:27, 19 March 2022 (UTC)
You mean this - "hi, you mean anyone can edit kinda like wikipedia? Got it." WHich was in response to this line: "IMDb can be edited by anyone."
Yeah, the person in question has a tendency to be all over the place when it comes to justifying his behavior. As an editor he does a crap job causing more problems than he solves. If you believe somehow my sole purpose is only to antagonize then you should and would be well within your rights to take action and ban the IP address. I would however stack my "history" up against the person in question and it will quickly become apparent who is really about antagonizing other users. I’ve left a response on your talk page as well. Honestly, I’m not big on process so if that was incorrect just delete it - seriously. It’s less of a big event in my world than Creego’s but that boy is well on a path to causing lots of problems because once is a mistake, two times a concern but the number of times he's butted heads with various people doesn’t speak all that well of him. 71.190.233.44 (talk) 22:18, 19 March 2022 (UTC)
So in essence, you're only here to bully me off the platform with vague accusations when I haven't even violated anything. You were told to stop beefing, and your answer was to escalate?--CreecregofLife (talk) 01:29, 20 March 2022 (UTC)
Funny how you want to inset yourself into this and escalate. Just proves the point yet again. You're someone looking to bully others - stop playing the victim because it's not working. Also, nothing in the comment in question was untrue but apparently it "triggered" you.71.190.233.44 (talk) 11:46, 20 March 2022 (UTC)
Why are you lying? You made this about me. I’m not inserting myself nor am I escalating CreecregofLife (talk) 14:33, 20 March 2022 (UTC)
(edit conflict) [To the IP:] Filing an ANI report a month after an interaction is the act that looks like escalation. If CreecregofLife's behaviour is as much of a problem as you think it is, then their actions will speak loudly enough for themselves. Frankly, your actions only serve to distract from the situation. Your best course of action, in the interest of the project, is to step away from the situation. Your best course of action, in a self-serving sense, is to step away from the situation, lest you face a block or interaction ban for your antagonism of them. —C.Fred (talk) 14:42, 20 March 2022 (UTC)
I'm honestly not sure what you're talking about in regards to the ANI report. Any report was filed at the time of my interactions with the Cree person so you'll need to go back and check that (or not) because at least to my recollection filing something a month later was not the case.
As far as responding to his comment "IMDb can be edited by anyone." - "hi, you mean anyone can edit kinda like wikipedia? Got it." Hardly rises to any level of seriousness. More to the point, it underlines a ridiculous justification by him yet again for his behavior which is amusing but appears to have struck a nerve as well.
As stated above - As an editor he does a crap job causing more problems than he solves. If you believe somehow my sole purpose is only to antagonize then you should and would be well within your rights to take action and ban the IP address. I would however stack my "history" up against the person in question and it will quickly become apparent who is really about antagonizing other users. I’ve left a response on your talk page as well.
Wikipedia really isn’t so vitally important to me other than I occasionally see something that is either wrong, needs to be updated or just laid out incorrectly and in the cases where I have time and inclination I do so. Over the course of years I have rarely had any issues as opposed to the editor in question who from all appearances is constantly having issues with people. And you are right, their behavior will ultimately prove that point (as I responded above). Cree is the one who was so violently upset by a snarky comment but then again he seems to be in a constant state of distress. I will say that I came away from the interaction with him profoundly disturber that someone would comport themselves in such a manner. I did see him hurl repeated insults at me and the other user on the talk page and it doesn't appear that was ever properly addressed and I see more of the same behavior going on - tweaking an (Personal attack removed) is simply idle fun and seems to have had the desired effect. He's your problem though on that you're right. 71.190.233.44 (talk) 15:48, 20 March 2022 (UTC)

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you make personal attacks on other people. Comment on content, not on fellow editors. —C.Fred (talk) 16:12, 20 March 2022 (UTC)

Well, if you want, I can REALLY harass him and I can do it from multiple IPs since you appear to think it's such a big deal. You should probably just block this IP anyway (as I had stated earlier) and I'll switch over to something else and cause big problems that will make posting a simple and obvious statement pale by comparison. Since this statement (hi, you mean anyone can edit kinda like wikipedia? Got it.) strikes at the core of everyone's being and it's such a huge transgression. Especially since the loser seems to have no qualms about attacking others and you aren't restraining his behavior in any way.
I realize the thing about the internet is that I'm likely dealing with 15 year olds and given "Creepo’s" area of interest he doesn't get out much and doesn't seem to have much contact with humans IRL. Is that enough of a personal attack for you? Mind you Fred, you obviously appear as another adult in the room so none of this is directed at you. I'm just enjoying the fact that "Creepo" seems to cause so much drama with so many. (now those are what I would consider a true personal attack if were parsing words not the statement in question)
Oh and since you're concerned about personal attacks - here's some of things that were directed at me during my encounter with him:
I imagine that a lot of regressive/anti-progressive people push such content through in the name of fairness, when they just want to give their cruelty a platform.
That such tantrums should be given a platform is ludicrous--CreecregofLife
you are reaching SO MUCH it is embarrassing for you. It’s not childish to call your whining whining because you keep crawling back trying to get every whine out there. The only reason you don’t want us calling it such is because softer language would help legitimize your ludicrous stance... now please, don’t touch anyone on your way out.--CreecregofLife
Apparently racism and sexism don't cross his mind as a reason why the user ratings are so poor.
You two are being utterly ridiculous and your tantrums...
Please sit down and listen.--CreecregofLife
Excuse me if I find such pedantic language to voyage well into the realm of personal attacks - certainly in comparison my statement was far, far worse even though it was not directed personally at someone. But wait! I'm not the only person who has had the displeasure of being subjected to this cretin and his behavior. Yeah, you'll excuse me if I'm not really big on this event but certainly if we want to make it into something 71.190.233.44 (talk) 20:20, 20 March 2022 (UTC)

Thank you! I’m passing on the creating an account at the moment. I spend too much time on the site as it is and have other things in my life which I should be focused on. WP is a life avoidance tool and that’s not a good thing as time is really our most precious commodity.
It’s a nice thought though. I’d likely be more inclined if I hadn’t seen so much bad behavior on the part of some folks. 71.190.233.44 (talk) 15:25, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
Fair enough. As a side note, editing as a confirmed user rather than from an ip address gives you more credibility. Something to think about. Anon0098 (talk) 15:43, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
Yeah, I know but then again I relish my status in the WP caste system as one of the Dalits. 71.190.233.44 (talk) 15:59, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
LOL I can respect that Anon0098 (talk) 16:11, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
Oh, and you really should edit and delete that thank you message I left you. 71.190.233.44 (talk) 16:55, 4 July 2022 (UTC)

Normally I would let things play out on their own but since the person in question saw fit to point a finger at me it warranted a response, thanks for the heads up. 71.190.233.44 (talk) 12:36, 5 July 2022 (UTC)
