Repeated wrong edits about the Martin 404

[edit]

You have repeatedly inserted wrong informations into the Chicago and Southern Air Lines and Martin 4-0-4 articles.

Once again: Please READ the "timetableimages" source, which explicitly shows ONLY ONE connection with Martin 404 - and this one is shown to be operated by TWA, not C & S - it is TWA flighs TWA 809/810.

Please revert your wrong edit, otherwise the matter has to be taken to the administrators. --Uli Elch (talk) 20:54, 1 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thanks for adding the historical timetable stuff to the Talkeetna airport article. I went ahead and did some copyediting but otherwise it's nice to see that kind of content. Orange Suede Sofa (talk) 21:23, 23 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Unalaska Airport, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Thanks,NeuropolTalk 15:21, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Disruptive edits

[edit]

Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. [edit]

Information icon Hello 76.72.9.125, I'm Quaerens-veritatem . To help you to contribute effectively:

(1) Please take some time to familiarize yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia.
(2) Consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account. An account provides privacy including hiding your Lafayette, Louisiana area location. Logging in under a user name lets you build trust and respect through a history of good edits, and makes it easier for veteran users to assume good faith, communicate and collaborate. Having a good name (or a pseudonym to protect your identity) promotes more responsible editing, and more civil discourse.
(3) Please provide a summary of every edit you make. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history. Summaries help other editors by (a) providing a reason for the edit, (b) saving the time to open up the edit to find out what it's all about, and (c) providing information about the edit on diff pages and lists of changes (such as page histories and watchlists).
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit and a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Many who are ignorant of the Wikipedia policy on edit summaries fail to add them. Some ignore this basic brief task; however, failure seems arrogant and inconsiderate specially since summaries are so easy to add. According to Wikipedia's consensus policy, all edits should be explained —either by clear edit summaries, or by discussion on the associated talk page.
(4) If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk.

Thank you for your consideration. Quaerens-veritatem (talk) 09:10, 8 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

your comments from Help desk

[edit]

@76.72.9.125: On the Wikipedia Help desk (text was subsequently deleted), you wrote:

Wikipedia is BULLSHIT. There are many factual errors with a great number of your articles. And when one attempts to edit these articles with references supplied in every case, the amended information is then DELETED with no explanation given. You state anyone can provide an edit. This is simply not true.

I have made peace (of a sort) with this by realizing that, although I make positive contributions to Wikipedia, I don't have the time to fix things that are effectively "built into" their system. For instance, there is an accurate statement with a valid citation. Somebody claims that the citation is not valid because it's a primary source and should be a secondary source, the implication being that the content should be deleted if a primary source cannot be found. This actually isn't even supported by policy, but it's how someone interpreted the policy. What a joke! (Since you're an IP user, please post something here to at least let me know that you saw this .... it would be kind of silly to have an ongoing conversation with myself.)
