Your blanking of How to have sex

[edit]

Hey,

Good job on keeping an eye out for these garbage articles. Yet, just for future refence, rather than blank a page that deserves to be deleted, use the deletion procedures found here: Wikipedia:Speedy deletions, or here: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Otherwise, you may end up ruffling the feathers of those whom are more formalist than you and I. Cheers! — Dorvaq (talk) 20:39, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Yossui's nickname

[edit]

Thanks for notifying me! I looked at the picture, it seems that the English text has been pasted on, so I went searching around a bit and I found that it was in fact pasted on (picture from amazon). I'm pretty sure that it's a small "i" in the hiragana there (which is what the Japanese wiki has), since it's the same size as the small "tsu", so I believe it's Yossi. I won't make any changes until we are able to come to an agreement, to avoid edit wars and such (not that I don't believe we aren't able to solve this in a calm manner). -- Tydus Arandor 00:07, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That is a possible solution. If we're going to list those two, we should probably list "Yossie" as well. But the thing I'm worried about is that if allow variations of romanizations for Yoshizawa, we might have to for other mmebers as well: the biggest problem lies with Mitsui. As you know, there was a big confusion over it already. If よっすぃ is going to be romanized as "Yossui" then みっつぃ will have to be romanized as "Mittsui", which really doesn't make any sense. Maybe we could do something like:
Nickname: よっすぃ (Yossi) / よっすい (Yossui)
-- Tydus Arandor 07:42, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not quite sure on what you want to do anymore. Do you mean that we should only have one then? (to avoid the troubles of leaving a footnote, etc) -- Tydus Arandor 22:12, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

thanks for checking from time to time. I was testing the credibility of the articles and I am impressed. Sorry for the inconvinience!!

According to this difference edit it seems you added "YOURE GAY". Anyway, please check the history of the article before putting up speedy deletions; they could have been vandalized and this is a legitimate article. Thanks.

Request for copyediting

[edit]

Dear Abarry

I noticed that you are a member of the league of copyeditors. In case you are interested: Would you please copyedit Jafar Panahi? I expanded the article and it needs copyediting for grammar, tone and style. Any helps will be very much appreciated. Thanks. Sangak 19:37, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your kind help. I think a single source can work for all awards. Here it is [1]. Thanks again. Sangak 19:53, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Great! I will improve it further. I also wrote another similar article on Darius Mehrjui. Would you also take a look at that in future? Thank you. Sangak 19:59, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

About my quotes page

[edit]

Yes, feel free to borrow it! The system itself is a bit complex, but it's easy to alter and adjust. User:Gracenotes gets its quotes from User:Gracenotes/Quotes source, but the quotes themselves are formatted by User:Gracenotes/Quotes. This was an attempt to get XML-like content and formatting separation. Feel free to implement it; if you have any questions about it or need help, just tell me. GracenotesT § 20:10, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, you have a cool signature :) (check mark is great) Once again, if you have any questions, ask away. GracenotesT § 21:47, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, okay. Great! By the way, like everyone else, my contributions on Wikipedia are released under the GFDL, so you can reuse them on Wikipedia (even without asking!) See Wikipedia:Copyrights. GracenotesT § 21:52, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hm. I suppose so. Thank you for asking, then, and happy editing! GracenotesT § 21:56, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Yoshizawa hitomi 2007.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Yoshizawa hitomi 2007.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. - David Gerard 19:37, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Fujimoto_miki_2007.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Fujimoto_miki_2007.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Abu badali (talk) 23:31, 26 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

More

Same for the images Image:Ai 2006 resized.jpg, Image:Kamei eri 2007.jpg, Image:Risa niigaki 2007.jpg and Image:Ai 2006 resized.jpg. Also, these images lack verifiable source info (where/when were they released as promo material?).

Please, notice that we don't use unfree images to illustrate living people. In those cases, we prefer to leave the article without any image to incentive users to create free images. --Abu badali (talk) 23:31, 26 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings from the League of Copyeditors. Your name is listed on our members page, but we are unsure how many of the people listed there are still active contributors to the League's activities. If you are still interested in participating in the work of the League, please follow the instructions at the members page to add your name to the active members list. Once you have done that, you might want to familiarise yourself with the new requests system, which has replaced the old /proofreading subpage. As the old system is now deprecated, the main efforts of the League should be to clear the substantial backlog which still exists there.
The League's services are in as high demand as ever, as evinced by the increasing backlog on our requests pages, both old and new. While FA and GA reviewers regularly praise the League's contributions to reviewed articles, we remain perennially understaffed. Fulfilling requests to polish the prose of Wikipedia's highest-profile articles is a way that editors can make a very noticeable difference to the appearance of the encyclopedia. On behalf of the League, if you do consider yourself to have left, I hope you will consider rejoining; if you consider yourself inactive, I hope you will consider returning to respond to just one request per week, or as many as you can manage. Merry Christmas and happy editing, The League of Copyeditors.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
