Sorry, didn't mean to step on your edits. I'll wait a while before adding more, I think you should use the references format I put in there for you to be like other articles. Moscatanix 16:46, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

Interested in helping wikipedia in Shona/Ndebele?
Hi Africa Festival of the beautiful name :) Thanks for your contributions in the Africa sphere so far. Coming from Zimbabwe, I wonder if you speak Shona and/or Ndebele, and would be be interested in helping develop Wikipedia in either of those languages? Take a look at this page if you're interested. Pius Ncube
Hi! I see that the Pius Ncube article has been vandalised recently and that you have reverted it. I was just wondering if you meant to revert it to the edit before mine? I dont feel that what I added was vandalism and I did source it well (I thought so anyway). If there was a particular reason you didn't like my stuff please tell me as Im still quite new and I may have screwed up without meaning to.
Thanks

Please read the nomination text and help improve the article to featured article standard if you can. |
As the number of people taking part in WikiProject Zimbabwe grows, I have more and more people to notify of changes. If you havn't already done so, please could you add the notice board to your watch list so that I can add any changes there and only once not as many times as there are members. Arthur G.O. Mutambara
I wonder if you ever bothered to read the edit you reverted. The only source that went was the tvnz.co.nz link and that source was clearly bunkum. It was used to support a description of the MDC led by Morgan Tsvangirai as "mainstream"; the word mainstream was never used in the source. "Main" was but that is in any case a point of view description and not appropriate for Wikipedia. WP:NPOV mandates that we can't regard either part of the MDC as the "main" faction because that is to endorse them. We can say that one is bigger than the other. Don't revert this edit. Fys. Ta fys aym. 09:25, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
Your recent edits
Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 16:54, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Solusi University Faculty of Science & Technology
I have nominated Solusi University Faculty of Science & Technology, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Solusi University Faculty of Science & Technology. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Movement for Democratic Change sources
Heya,
Thanks so much for all your brilliant work on the Movement for Democratic Change article!!
I had added two templates ({{refimprove}} and {{Original research}}) as there were entire stretches of text without any sources. I had posted on the talk page about this when I did it, and I'd really appreciate it if you could discuss there before removing them, as otherwise I can't understand why you do it - though I'm sure it's the best of motives.
So, thanks a lot for all of your work, and if you don't mind, I can add the templates back - and look forward to the discussion on Talk:Movement for Democratic Change.
Many thanks, Drum guy (talk) 20:24, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading Image:NelsonChamisa.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 15:17, 12 September 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Calliopejen1 (talk) 15:17, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

I have tried to split the article Movement for Democratic Change, into Movement for Democratic Change - Tsvangirai and Movement for Democratic Change (pre-2004), leaving the Tsvangirai faction as the main article (Movement for Democratic Change). I got a small amount of consensus on the talk page (although not much!). However, I got to making a good start on the pre-2004 article when you said that the parties were back together, which is simply not true. They operate entirely seperately, and are considered legally, commercially etc to be two separate parties. Hence in parliament, even the new parliament, they are considered as separate entities. [1] It is certainly a priority to split this article. Perhaps the only thing in question is the name of the party. I respect that some people call the party different things, and that maybe therefore we need to call the Mutambara faction Movement for Democratic Change - Mutambara, but both call themselves MDC. [2]However, here I have a pretty good source (I think you would agree!) saying that the name is MDC-T, whilst Mutambara is simply MDC[3]--HandGrenadePins (talk) 10:24, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
Thank you for permission. I'm glad we can come to a compromise. Really apreciate the work you 've done so far on the topic by the way.--HandGrenadePins (talk) 10:38, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Solusisignweb.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Solusisignweb.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}}
(to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 03:56, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
MDC articles
Hi. Seeing that you have contributed regularly to the Movement for Democratic Change article, I am notifying you that I have now split it into:
- Movement for Democratic Change (pre-2005)
- Movement for Democratic Change – Tsvangirai
- Movement for Democratic Change – Mutambara
- Movement for Democratic Change - as a disambiguation page
I think this better reflects the current political dispensation and avoids confusion from readers new to the topic, as discussed on the talk page. So far, all that has been done is redistributing the existing text between the three articles, copyediting and (some) link-fixing in other articles. I'd appreciate it, if you have time, for you to take a look at the three articles for any mistakes I have made, plus naturally to continue imporving the article. Thanks. Babakathy (talk) 21:08, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
Hi Africa Festival, one of your images, File:Tsvangiraimorgan.jpg, was transfered to Commons. Some problems:
- According to the date you toke the photo on February 9, 2008. Thats not correct, the image is taken in April 2008. Can you correct the day and probably the location?
- I have my doubts, that this photo is realy entirely created by youself: Wrong date, taken at a location you never was, webresolution, your prior problems with copyrights....
If it is not your photo please let me know and i will delete it. A nonfree image on Commons can cause trouble to Wikimedia and financial problems to you. Commons and Wikipedia host only free images, every person or company can reuse photos from Wikipedia or Commons for every purpose including commercial use. If the claim "own work" is wrong, the real holder of copyrights will announce a financial damage. --Martin H. (talk) 19:27, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
- Forget about my question, i found the image myself here: http://www.daylife.com/photo/07dY3Yu4sv4Ry. The image is speedydeleted and a strong warning: Do NOT copy images from other sources and claim, that they are "created by yourself"!! --Martin H. (talk) 19:37, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
Do you know who any of these people are:

File source problem with File:Zimbabwedaily.jpg
Thank you for uploading File:Zimbabwedaily.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 20:01, 16 November 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. Speedy deletion nomination of Africa Center for Holistic Management
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Africa Center for Holistic Management requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. ukexpat (talk) 19:34, 26 March 2013 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Contests
User:Dr. Blofeld has created Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/Contests. The idea is to run a series of contests/editathons focusing on each region of Africa. He has spoken to Wikimedia about it and $1000-1500 is possible for prize money. Would you be interested in contributing to one or assisting draw up core article/missing article lists? He says he's thinking of North Africa for an inaugural one in October. If interested please sign up in the participants section of the Contest page, thanks.♦ --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 01:09, 21 July 2016 (UTC)
Invite to the African Destubathon
Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most geography, wildlife and women articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing, whether it's a river in Malawi, a Nigerian footballer, or a South African civil rights activist, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. For those of you who signed up to the North African contest, that will hopefully be held in the new year. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:11, 6 October 2016 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Pileus area index
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Pileus area index requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about something invented/coined/discovered by the article's creator or someone they know personally, and it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
