Please do not reinstate your edits to AlMaghrib Institute, which have been challenged, without discussing the matter first at Talk:AlMaghrib Institute and establishing consensus there. I have opened a relevant thread at Talk:AlMaghrib Institute#Recent edits. Thanks, Nsk92 (talk) 19:10, 22 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove the section Talk:AlMaghrib Institute#Recent edits from the article talk page, as you did here.[1] Rather, please explain your position and comment in this section itself. Nsk92 (talk) 19:22, 22 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there currently is a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you.

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of AbdulBary Yahya, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.almaghrib.org/instructor_AY.php.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on AbdulBary Yahya requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Jimmy Pitt talk 19:38, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Ybirjas.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Ybirjas.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 20:06, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hello. Concerning your contribution, File:Ybirjas.jpg, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://muslimmatters.org/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/yb_doha.jpg. As a copyright violation, File:Ybirjas.jpg appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. File:Ybirjas.jpg has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.

If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License (CC-BY-SA) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at File talk:Ybirjas.jpg and send an email with the message to permissions-en@wikimedia.org. See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that it is licensed under the CC-BY-SA license, leave a note at File talk:Ybirjas.jpg with a link to where we can find that note.
  • If you hold the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the CC-BY-SA and GFDL, and note that you have done so on File talk:Ybirjas.jpg.

However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. While contributions are appreciated, Wikipedia must require all contributors to understand and comply with its copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Thank you. CactusWriter (talk) 22:29, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

3RR Warning

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users who edit disruptively or refuse to collaborate with others may be blocked if they continue.

In particular the three-revert rule states that:

  1. Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
  2. Editors violating the rule will usually be blocked for 24 hours for a first incident.
  3. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes. Work towards wording, and content that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. NickCT (talk) 21:59, 18 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Park51 lead change

[edit]

Hey AlBara,

Regarding your changes to the Park51 lead;

The reason I am undoing your edits is b/c the current lead on the Park51 article was the subject of a very large amount of conversation on Talk:Park51. When this is true, it is generally accepted that you should discuss any future changes on the talk page. Please go to Talk:Park51, and discuss the changes you want to make before making them. Thanks, NickCT (talk) 22:09, 18 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the heads up. I appreciate it. I've posted the updated lead in the talk section and awaiting discussion. AlBaraa (talk) 22:23, 18 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
No problem AlBaraa. And by the way, I hope you didn't feel like I was trying to censor your edits. Sometimes new users come along and edit content that has been discussed quite a lot on the article's talk page. Those edits typically get undone quite quickly. If I didn't do it, someone else probably would have.
Good luck in your discussion. And if you have any questions, feel free to drop me a line. NickCT (talk) 22:29, 18 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Zippyshell logo.png

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Zippyshell logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 10:21, 2 September 2013 (UTC) [reply]
