Being an administrator is not easy. And your English writing skill is very weak. Your edits should improve the article so that it won't require Copy editing. --Marvellous Spider-Man 14:38, 4 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

do you know? There are large number of mistakes in many articles on Wikipedia and as an administrator you are also responsible for those mistakes.I am trying my best to fix those mistakes. So I request you to let me proceed. You very well know I just added "about" with 24000 in "Ramayana"article but surprisingly you reversed my change. You may read anywhere Valmiki ramayan doesn't contain exactly 24000.

Lastly,Practice makes perfect. So in future I will be a good administrator. Aman Kumar Tiwari 15:55, 4 September 2017 (UTC)

hope you will reply soon....... Aman Kumar Tiwari 15:55, 4 September 2017 (UTC)

Hello

[edit]

Hello, I know you are very interested in Hinduism and Ramayana specifically. You seem to have some trouble editing, so I thought I would share some tips-

  • I am sure you have read Ramayana and Ramacharitamanasa; however, on Wikipedia, admins can't confirm whether the information you add is true. Hence we require references. Here's a link - WP:RS which is detailed. When you add anything, find a book or a website or a newspaper whose author, brand or publisher has background in Hinduism. The book might be from your library. For example, your edit at Hanuman here added information without a reference, so people can't determine whether its true. Here, I added a reference to your information.
  • Its best if you do not use the book as a reference in an article about a book, like when you use Ramayana for Ramayana, or a novel for the same novel. Also, please see WP:HONORIFICS, its a Wikipedia policy that we don't use honorifics like Ji or Lord. Some of your edits to Ramayana like Lord Ram is a violation of this policy.
  • See WP:PEACOCK, we also shouldn't use vague terms like great, famous, best, etc.
  • Always respect other users and assume that they are doing what they think is good and try to think from their view to prevent fights.

Please don't be upset, we all start as new users to Wikipedia. Feeling confused ? You can leave my a reply here on your user talk page or my user talk page, it doesn't matter. However, users don't look at your user talk page, so you can reply to them in this way - @{ping|Username of the user}}, replace @ with { and Username of the user with the username of the person who you are replying to. Expecting a reply from you, King Prithviraj II (talk) 12:07, 6 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If using lord or ji violates wikipedia policy then there are not one or two such violation but innumerous.I think you should first remove all those. Aman Kumar Tiwari 12:53, 6 September 2017 (UTC)

I agree there should be references with major edits but not necessarily with minor edits. Aman Kumar Tiwari 12:58, 6 September 2017 (UTC)

please tell me how can i trust the author whose texts have been used by you as reference. Is the book of the author error free? Aman Kumar Tiwari 13:06, 6 September 2017 (UTC)

If referencing is really important then every references must be most authentic on which anyone can trust including me. Aman Kumar Tiwari 13:16, 6 September 2017 (UTC)

@Aman Kumar Tiwari:
  • 1. Please point me to the pages that use Lord or Ji, I will remove them.
  • 2. Minor edits mean edits that correct spelling errors, adding information is not minor and requires a reference.
  • 3. First of all, type the name of the author in Wikipedia and see if he has an article. Then, check if the publisher has an article. (Doesn't apply to self published sources). Lastly, check if the book itself has articles. If any of these criteria meet, it means the book might be error free to an extent. If all 3 are met, it is not a guarentee the book cannot certainly be error free, we are humans after all. Because of this, in the cases of controversial statements, we use two or more references to confirm if the statements are true. Awaiting your response, King Prithviraj II (talk) 14:41, 6 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Plese visit:-https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lord_Byron Aman Kumar Tiwari 10:41, 7 September 2017 (UTC)

Of course i can also edit but its only an example for you. Aman Kumar Tiwari 10:42, 7 September 2017 (UTC)

If we cant use lord with lord ram then must not use with anyone else living or not, mortal or immortal. Aman Kumar Tiwari 10:44, 7 September 2017 (UTC)

And please remove this link https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lord because it is not required as wikipedia itself is not doing what it says:-Lord is an appellation for a person or deity who has authority, control, or power over others acting like a master, a chief, or a ruler. Aman Kumar Tiwari 10:49, 7 September 2017 (UTC)

Wikipedia policy states that the common name of a person, object etc. be used. When a honorific is commonly used with the name, its ok, like Alexander the Great. Lord Rama is only used by devotees, not everyone, while Rama is more common. WP:COMMONSENSE is to be taken into concern, the honorific Lord is the subject of the article, a similar example would be not editing the article Wikipedia due to WP:BIAS. Lord is an English word, Rama is a Sanskrit word, so not using Lord simply because Rama is not referred in that way on Wikipedia is stupid. Sri is a honorific snd has an article, also, Rama is more referred to as Sri Rama than Lord Rama, but Rama is more common than both of them. In another language, Guru might be a honorific, but not in English, evident in Guru Nanak etc. Hinduism isn't the only place where honorifics are not used, even Jesus does not have the honorific Christ. On Wikipedia, you must respect the religious views of all people comments like the one you made above might make them offended. Awaiting reply, King Prithviraj II (talk) 12:45, 7 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

ok i can understand. Aman Kumar Tiwari 06:13, 10 September 2017 (UTC)

Information icon Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Rama. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. bonadea contributions talk 06:28, 10 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Control copyright icon Hello Aman Kumar Tiwari, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to Rama have been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page.

Also remember that information needs a reliable source and that it must be written in a netural manner. Thank you. bonadea contributions talk 06:33, 10 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop making disruptive edits, as you did at Template:Infobox India district.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing.

Making changes to template source code can be very disruptive because of the potential that an error in the template will be propagated to the many pages that use the template. Please do not attempt to edit a template until you have more understanding of the role templates play on WP and you can better interpret the dialect of Lua that they are often written in.
