Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Amazingandlively, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Lara Technologies, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Mean as custard (talk) 12:39, 15 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Lara Technologies requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. April 2016

[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Lara Technologies‎‎, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you.  Rebbing  05:37, 22 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with this edit to Lara Technologies. Please make your case on the page's talk page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 05:42, 22 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A personal note

[edit]

I get that this must be very frustrating for you, but you've got to remember that Wikipedia is a real encyclopedia, not an online bulletin board. You wouldn't expect Encyclopedia Brittanica to publish someone's poorly-edited advertising piece, would you? Of course not! So show some respect for the project and learn how to write articles (and what's required of them) before insisting that we publish yours. I understand this must be frustrating for you, and I sympathize—I really do. It took me at least a forty hours of work and studying to get my footing as an editor, and I'm still learning. Best wishes.  Rebbing  06:09, 22 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A question about your editing

[edit]

Hi there Amazingandlively. I'm a volunteer on conflict of interest related subjects and came across your contributions especially the articles you created, Amagi Media Labs, R.C. Natarajan, Laborate Pharmaceuticals, Patton Refrigeration, Fakhri Ahmadov and Your Kids 'R' Our Kids (YKROK). I have a simple question: are you paid for the things you write about on Wikipedia? If the answer is yes, it's not the end of the world, but there are some things you will have to do to continue editing here. You can just reply here, I'll be watching for an answer. Thanks. Brianhe (talk) 21:24, 27 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Partly yes, meaning I have been paid for a few of the articles I have written here. Amazingandlively (talk) 02:29, 28 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your reply. The terms of use require you to indicate certain information about your paid editing. I will follow this with the boilerplate message for paid editors. Brianhe (talk) 03:08, 28 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Disclosure required for paid editors

[edit]

Information icon Hello Amazingandlively. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a black hat practice.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Amazingandlively. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Amazingandlively|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. If you are being compensated, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, please do not edit further until you answer this message. Brianhe (talk) 03:08, 28 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
