Welcome to Wikipedea. I noticed your edit to Scouting in Clwyd adding a link to an article about a Scout Group. I am afraid this will not survive. The Group artcile is not notable and will be seen as vanity. It will be flagged for debate to delete it. Not by me, note. I want to help you get a better solution. I was the person who finally after a lot of discussion merged the stuff about the other group to Scouting in Clwyd. OK, what to do? First, the article Scouting in Clwyd needs work to actually say something about Scouting in Clwyd in general. I can not do that. I'm an ex-UK Scout but live in Australia now. Then you have a section about your group and add some of the material from your Group article. There is no need to mention all sections as a list. Do not mention individual names of Scouts. Then redirect the group page to Scouting in Clwyd. Do you want me to have a go at adding the group stuff to the article? Reply here. I will keep a watch on this page. Best wishes, --Bduke 21:46, 2 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have merged Penyffordd Scout Group and Spartan Venture Scout Unit into Scouting in Clwyd. Sorry, I guess you like these articles, but there is no way they will survive if they go to "Articles for deletion", which they surely will once someone spots them. I stress again that Scouting in Clwyd needs work on it with the inclusion of some general material about Scouting in that Scout area. If not that article might get deleted and your material will be lost. I hope you are not upset by my action. Best wishes, --Bduke 21:12, 3 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 12:55, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later."

You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here. You can also leave a message on my talk page.

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Royal Cambrain Academy, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Royal Cambrain Academy is unquestionably copyright infringement, and no assertion of permission has been made.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Royal Cambrain Academy, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Snowdon/Yr Wyddfa

[edit]

Hi Andy. I have reverted your change on the Snowdon article to Yr Wyddfa for a couple of reasons. First, you performed a cut and paste move, which disrupted the history of the page. All articles on Wikipedia are licensed under the GFDL and one of the consequences is that we have to maintain the contribution histories for pages. The reason is that you really need to obtain consensus for such a change before you make it. The way to do this is to start a discussion on your proposed change at the article's talk page. I am not personally against making such a change, but it really ought to be discussed first. Thanks, Gwernol 20:02, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Royal Cambrian Academy. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. A tag has been placed on Masai Barefoot Technology requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. File source problem with File:CoedpoethParkGates.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:CoedpoethParkGates.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 10:40, 10 May 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Salavat (talk) 10:40, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Brynbach

[edit]

I am afraid that this new article that you have started is also, like the ones discussed earlier above, unlikely to survive. I have wikified it and drawn attention of the Scouting WikiProject to it, so hopefully it will be further improved. Information about old camp sites is indeed interesting, but it needs proper references that show it meets out notability guidelines. That is, it needs independent reliable sources. --Bduke (Discussion) 23:23, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
