I have come across a couple of pages, which seems to be lacking credible sources and who have copied information directly from their website. Thus, it seems that the specific page has been created with the specific aim to advertise. Isn't that illegal?

- It may or may not be illegal (depending on whether there has been a copyright violation, in which case it definitely is), but articles whose sole aim is to advertise violate Wikipedia's policy that it is not advertising. There are noticeboards for copyright problems, reliable-sources and neutral point of view questions where you can bring specific concerns; the noticeboards have detailed instructions.
