Feedback request
[edit]I took a look at your draft article about Juncus dichotomus and I have some feedback for you:
- It is important that you avoid unintentional plagiarism. I removed from your draft a number of sentences and phrases that were taken word for word from one of your sources. Remember that even if you cite your source, it is inappropriate to copy word for word from a source unless you indicate that it is a direct quote by use of quotation marks. If there are any further examples of sentences taken from this or other sources, they must be removed before your article leaves your sandbox. Please review the module Plagiarism and let me know if you have any questions.
- You've done a good job with most of the basic elements of article formatting, like headers, citations, and the infobox. There are just a few minor things to deal with. Most significantly, articles should not begin with a header, they should begin with introductory text. The Editing Wikipedia brochure to the right provides a good overview of the important elements of article formatting.
- Citation 5 is just a bare url which doesn't appear to work. It is important to include as much information as possible in your citation. Your citations 2 and 6 are excellent examples of proper citations. See the module Sources and Citations if you need for information.
- I see you've inserted a url in an attempt to display an image. URLs for images will not work like that on Wikipedia, all images must be uploaded for them to appear on Wikipedia. You can use images from Wikimedia Commons (here is their category for Juncus dichotomus) or find images to upload yourself following the steps at the Finding images tutorial. See our module Contributing Images and Media Files for more information on how to properly find and use images on Wikipedia.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Rob (Wiki Ed) (talk) 00:08, 15 November 2016 (UTC)
