Hello. Concerning your contribution, Miguel Altieri, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://ecnr.berkeley.edu/facPage/dispFP.php?I=490. As a copyright violation, Miguel Altieri appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. Miguel Altieri has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.

If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License (CC-BY-SA) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Miguel Altieri and send an email with the message to permissions-en@wikimedia.org. See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that it is licensed under the CC-BY-SA license, leave a note at Talk:Miguel Altieri with a link to where we can find that note.
  • If you hold the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the CC-BY-SA and GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:Miguel Altieri.

However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Thank you. Vejvančický (talk) 08:00, 4 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Miguel Altieri requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Miguel Altieri, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. RepublicanJacobiteThe'FortyFive' 04:47, 5 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The recent edit you made to Talk:Miguel Altieri constitutes vandalism, and has been reverted. Please do not continue to remove content from articles without explanation. Thank you. Jusdafax 17:32, 5 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, thank you for the information. And do not worry; I will no longer participate in this site. Furthermore, I have a question: How do I delete my Wikipedia account? This is one of the most problematical online social projects I ever seen. Every time I do something I end up committing some type of violation. You can even delete my page; someone perhaps in the future will know how to do it better than me.

Hello Argenautas, and thanks for this article. I've added relevant internal links to the articles, where he is mentioned. Please, don't be upset, your contributions are welcomed! The first version of your article was deleted as a copyright infringement, as Wikipedia has uncompromising rules for copyright violations. However, the second version seems to be OK, and it was tagged incorrectly. I've notified the nominator. Anyone can edit here, and people sometimes make mistakes (myself included:)). For further informations on contributing to this project, please read the links in my welcome message. Have a nice day, and ask me whatever, if needed. Happy editing! --Vejvančický (talk) 08:01, 6 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes but I decided to delete my own comments on Miguel Altieri’s Discussion area and I got this from Jusdafax: “The recent edit you made to Talk:Miguel Altieri constitutes vandalism, and has been reverted. Please do not continue to remove content from articles without explanation. Thank you. Jusdafax 17:32, 5 November 2009 (UTC)” I have deleted my own comment again from the Miguel Altieri’s Discussion area. One more of this SudoPolice comments about vandalism and I am out of this site. About the copyright violations, I have permission to use those paragraphs. I administrate several of those sites. I was using my own writing. Perhaps, before the automatic online search wikipolice and accusation of copyright violation, who is editing should talk with the writer and find more information. Because possibly the writer is the owner of the document, perhaps he is a university professor or a writer uploading his own research and you end up accusing me, sorry, him or her of an inexistent copyright violation ; )

I don't know who you are, Argenautas. I don't know if you are administrator of several of those sites or possible owner of the document. Your article was copy-pasted from this website (note © 2009 UC Regents. All rights reserved at the bottom of cited website). I don't know if you have permission to use those paragraphs. My message contains sufficient information and advice leading to succesful problem solving and also clearly explains copyright policy of this project. Did you try to read it? --Vejvančický (talk) 21:07, 6 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You are right, Vejvančický. Thank you for your help. I will not bother you again. Farewell everyone! I'd appreciate it if someone could delete my account, please… thanks!
