Welcome

[edit]

Sorry about the "warm" welcome at es.wiki. Your edits were correct but, unfortunately, you had to face the firing squad. With your excellent English, I'm certain your contributions will be welcomed here. This is where I come when I can't stand the arbitrary decisions of some (luckily the minority) of our admins. They complain about other wikis having more articles than es.wiki. Now you know why. Regards, --Maragm (talk) 14:52, 12 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Don't worry about editing articles. You can always create them first in a sandbox (for example, you create User:Sgomag/sandbox and work there) and then if you need help, let me know and from there, you can create an article or copy paste it in the article you want to edit. I find this wiki a much friendlier place, never had problems here, so far, and the sysops are pretty impartial and usually hear both sides of the story, light years away from the es.wiki experience. Welcome

[edit]

Hi there. I see you've had a little bit of a sticky start, but to be honest most of us found ways to mess up in our early days. Please accept some advice from an old hand. Wikipedia's a tricky place to get the hang of. Settle in for a while, edit about things you know and enjoy and then get on to the more fiddly things like trying to change policy or creating new articles when you're a bit more seasoned. Typo in image you created

[edit]

Hello Atón,

Are you aware that there is a typo in the file you created, File:Disputeresolution.svg (version), which is currently being used at Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines § Behavior that is unacceptable (permanent link) and was initially inserted by you in February 2017? Specifically, it is in the "Responding to tone" second-to-last row, in which "Critizices" is used instead of "Criticizes". I saw no current or archived discussion about it at Wikipedia talk:Talk page guidelines, so I assume it has remained unnoticed (or silently known) since it was inserted.

I do not consider myself competent enough at image editing to attempt this myself, but perhaps you are willing to do so. Hopefully, you see this post and address it yourself. If so, please do so by uploading a new version of the file. If not, I will seek someone else to do so. Thank you. —Nøkkenbuer (talkcontribs) 23:06, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Nøkkenbuer, thank you for pointing it out. I'm on vacation and I don't have my computer with me, so I won't be able to change it until the last week of July. I will correct the typo then if it's still there. Thank you for letting me know! Atón (talk) 05:30, 12 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I have no problem with that. For now, I have reverted the image back to the one prior to the insertion of your image. Once the typo is fixed, feel free to either restore it yourself or let me know and I will gladly do so. Given how the image has remained live for nearly a year and a half, I think there is implicit consensus that your file and addition was appreciated. I cannot guarantee that another user won't address it in the meantime, but I will not make any such request (unless you want me to do so) since there is no rush here, this is a minor issue, and I would rather you have initial creative control over your works. I hope you enjoy your vacation! —Nøkkenbuer (talkcontribs) 05:57, 12 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I just got the notification about your undo edit fixing the typo. I hope your trip went well and, if not, that you're glad it's finally over. Thanks and welcome back! —Nøkkenbuer (talkcontribs) 15:25, 31 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
