To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}}
on your userpage.
Please remember to:
- Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes
~~~~
at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp. - Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.
Disambiguation link notification for August 12
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Elections in Idaho, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Democratic Party. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message
[edit]Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}
to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:49, 29 November 2022 (UTC)
Contentious topics alert
[edit]You have recently made edits related to post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people. This is a standard message to inform you that post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people is a designated contentious topic. This message does not imply that there are any issues with your editing. For more information about the contentious topics system, please see Wikipedia:Contentious topics. 25stargeneral (talk) 21:03, 24 April 2023 (UTC)
Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.-- Ponyobons mots 21:34, 24 April 2023 (UTC)
- What a stupid rule. Is there no other way to combat malicious vandalism? BGreene98 (talk) 21:35, 24 April 2023 (UTC)
- It's not vandalism, and if you continue to frame it as such, that will also lead to a block of your account.-- Ponyobons mots 21:36, 24 April 2023 (UTC)
- Go ahead. I'm done with this stupid fucking website. Please ban me. I do not want to give myself anymore migraines dealing with this prude shithole. BGreene98 (talk) 21:47, 24 April 2023 (UTC)
[edit]You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Ron DeSantis. Nemov (talk) 22:18, 24 May 2023 (UTC)
This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Jennytacular (talk) 22:31, 24 May 2023 (UTC)
