Persistent disruption by 69.121.181.163
Hi, BOZ. Happy New Year. Listen, can you put another, longer block on 69.121.181.163. Its talk page is a two-year litany of constant warnings and at least one block for persistent blanking content and other disruptive editing, by myself and others, and he/she is not stopping. Thanks. How we will see unregistered users
Hi!
You get this message because you are an admin on a Wikimedia wiki.
When someone edits a Wikimedia wiki without being logged in today, we show their IP address. As you may already know, we will not be able to do this in the future. This is a decision by the Wikimedia Foundation Legal department, because norms and regulations for privacy online have changed.
Instead of the IP we will show a masked identity. You as an admin will still be able to access the IP. There will also be a new user right for those who need to see the full IPs of unregistered users to fight vandalism, harassment and spam without being admins. Patrollers will also see part of the IP even without this user right. We are also working on better tools to help.
If you have not seen it before, you can read more on Meta. If you want to make sure you don’t miss technical changes on the Wikimedia wikis, you can subscribe to the weekly technical newsletter.
We have two suggested ways this identity could work. We would appreciate your feedback on which way you think would work best for you and your wiki, now and in the future. You can let us know on the talk page. You can write in your language. The suggestions were posted in October and we will decide after 17 January.
Thank you. /Johan (WMF)

Jacob Batalon needs protection
Hi, BOZ. Happy New Year. Hope everything is going great for you and yours. Listen, the Jacob Batalon article has been the target for both persistent vandalism and addition of uncited information for the few weeks, with the former being reverted on at least five different occassions since December 26, and similarly frequency for the latter, as you can see in the article's edit history. Can you please put a prolonged block on that article, one that will dissuade those vandals monitoring it from returning? Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 00:09, 19 January 2022 (UTC)
- Hi, BOZ. Can you please put a substantially longer protection on Jacob Batalon? The vandalism is continuing regularly. Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 19:34, 2 March 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Nightscream, I am no longer able to perform this function. BOZ (talk) 19:38, 2 March 2022 (UTC)

Banzai Bug
I was wondering if you were able to reference the four reviews at Banzai Bug. I'm planning on nominating the article for DYK, but a requirement is for every section to be cited. I'm glad that you started the article and it was enjoyable to work on. I appreciate you thanking me for my additions. SL93 (talk) 00:57, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
- I went ahead and replaced all of those with the reviews that were linked from the Mobygames page - you can add the ones you want to use, and delete the rest. I will see what other reviews I can locate! BOZ (talk) 01:13, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you. I appreciate it. SL93 (talk) 01:21, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
- Would you be fine with me adding you as a co-creator on the DYK for you helping with sources? SL93 (talk) 02:49, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
- That would be cool, thanks. :) BOZ (talk) 02:52, 21 January 2022 (UTC)

- Yes, I do see that I unfortunately copied the first sentence word-for-word when I started the article in 2015, and the rest of that paragraph has some close paraphrasing and a few phrases copied verbatim; I rewrote that section under Talk:Mike Tinney/Temp per the instructions, so please review to make sure it is rewritten sufficiently. BOZ (talk) 15:26, 29 January 2022 (UTC)
- Boz, this is not the first time you've engaged in copyright violations and plagiarism. In 2020, you were correctly called out for word-for-word copyright violations by FRAM, for violations committed a year prior on May 20, May 21 and May 21 2019, which you recognized as copyvios and manually corrected (diff1, diff2, diff3). The corrections took place almost a year after your original edits. It's not like you were unaware of plagiarism and copyright violations, either; you de-plagiarized someone else's word-for-word copyvio on Sword of Aragon in 2009 (see discussion). In 2020, in response to Fram's query, you responded that
I will begin going through my other articles to make sure they are rewritten
. I have five questions that I'd like you to answer:- Did you actually follow up on that expectation by going through your other articles to make sure they were copyvio-free and plagiarism-free?
- Since you missed this 2015 plagiaristic additions of yours (AFG), how many and which articles did you effectively "go through"?
- Given that you did not address this 2015 copyvio before I brought it up seven years later, and given that you had written you would go through articles of yours to check for plagiarism, do you agree that it is possible that there are other copyright violations that you inserted in English mainspace between January 2015 and May 2019?
- At what approximate date do you consider to have begun introducing plagiarism and copyvios?
- At what approximate date do you consider to have stopped such a practice?
- I want you to know that I am not on a witch-hunt against you, one of the encyclopedia's most productive fantasy contributors, but against copyright violations and plagiarism, for which I have zero tolerance and which are strictly forbidden on Wikipedia (WP:PLAGIARISM, WP:COPYVIO). Your cooperation is likely to lead to less editor and admin time wasted discovering each of those individually over the years. Thank you. Pilaz (talk) 16:31, 29 January 2022 (UTC)
- I do recall two years ago spending a few months going through quite a lot of my contributions to make sure that they were rewritten when necessary, but I do not recall how far I got nor do I know which articles I looked at, so regrettably it is possible that there are others. As far as starting and stopping, I don't have answers for those questions unfortunately, other than since it was brought to my attention two years ago I have made an effort to be more cautious and avoid copying text. I will cooperate and participate in any process necessary to find and correct any other problematic additions on my part. BOZ (talk) 16:58, 29 January 2022 (UTC)
- I just checked the number of articles you've created between January 2015 and May 2019: 1,680. That probably explains why you couldn't check each individual one for plagiarism...
- Also, I checked the draft text and it seems good for admin review now. I endorse it. Next step would be to leave a link to it on Talk:Mike Tinney for copyvio admin review. Pilaz (talk) 18:08, 29 January 2022 (UTC)
- OK, thank you for taking a look. BOZ (talk) 18:11, 29 January 2022 (UTC)

Please hand in your admin bit
It now turns out that apart from misusing your admin bit to restore your own, AfD-deleted content in the past, and apart from creating copyvios in 2019, you have been creating copyvios since at least 2014 and still don't seem to understand or care about the difference between close paraphrasing and actually writing your own text (cf. the finds by Moneytrees, or the "tweak" you now make e.g. here which may help to fool tools like earwig, but does nothing to stop this from being a copyvio).
Please go to the burocrat's noticeboard and hand in your admin tools. Staying on as an admin is untenable after this many problems over such a long period. FRAM 09:46, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
DYK for Banzai Bug
On 7 February 2022, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Banzai Bug, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the Windows 95 game Banzai Bug, in which a player controls a bug that must escape from an exterminator's house and is told as a war story, was created as "The Flight-Sim with an Attitude"? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Banzai Bug. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Banzai Bug), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

- Well, I did find the review noted on the article from Steve Jackson Games periodical Pyramid, but sadly tabletop game reviews are not as easy to find as RPG reviews since I have yet to find a decent resource that indexes them. BOZ (talk) 16:54, 12 February 2022 (UTC)

Question
Hi! I was about to add the sales figures but I'm not sure which Flight simulator is this referring to. Do you know which one this is [1]? Timur9008 (talk) 07:18, 20 February 2022 (UTC)
- My best guess, based on the fact that the clipping is from 1988 and says "sold about 800,000 copies in the last five years", is that it is talking about Microsoft Flight Simulator 1.0, largely because nothing else really fits? BOZ (talk) 05:21, 20 February 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks! I will add the sales figures there then. Timur9008 (talk) 07:28, 20 February 2022 (UTC)
What about this one? I think it's this one Super Dodge Ball.[2] what do you think?Timur9008 (talk) 09:02, 26 February 2022 (UTC)
- I think you're right, especially if this review is for the NES version - take a look under the "Related games" section and that description matches your clipping fairly well. The clipping makes it clear that this release is by CBS/Sony although that is not reflected in the article from what I can see, but if you look at the NES version's Mobygames page[3] the publisher is listed as CSG Imagesoft Inc., and if you click on that link[4] it is clearly a subsidiary of Sony. :) BOZ (talk) 13:19, 26 February 2022 (UTC)
What about this one [5]? Could be any of these Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988 video game),Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1989 video game), Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1991 video game) but not sure which one, what do you think?Timur9008 (talk) 08:44, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
- Oh wow, good question. I would lean on the 1988 game since the others were not published by Disney, but I can't be certain that's the game it's talking about. BOZ (talk) 13:05, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
- Yeah, I won't be using this one then.Timur9008 (talk) 09:20, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
Do you know what this means? [6] the $100,820 or the $1 million(marketing budget?) parts. This info could improve the Pitfall II: Lost Caverns article.Timur9008 (talk) 17:51, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
- My reading of it is this. The company had set a budget of $100,820 to produce the game, but some changes were made that increased the budget by $10,000. The media budget of $1,000,000 appears to be related to advertising on TV, and in magazines and trade publications. BOZ (talk) 15:56, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
- Can you add this information to the Pitfall II: Lost Caverns article? I think it says the media budget was cut to $400,000 Timur9008 (talk) 18:04, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
- Looks like the TV advertising budget was cut to $400,000, but there was still some money for the other publications. I'm not sure how that information should be used in the article. BOZ (talk) 16:10, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
- Nevermind then. Still, thanks!Timur9008 (talk) 18:13, 15 March 2022 (UTC)

What about this one? [7] I think this means combined sales for Gromada and Hard Truck. Timur9008 (talk) 04:32, 4 April 2022 (UTC)
- It's hard to tell, because the grammar isn't great. It could mean 150K copies of Hard Truck, that many copies of both games, or that many copies of all of their games. If you can find a second source to back it up and hopefully clarify, that would help. BOZ (talk) 02:24, 4 April 2022 (UTC)
How about this? [8] I think it's Wonderland (video game). What do you think? Timur9008 (talk) 12:06, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
- I think that's the only game that makes sense, but that newspaper article is low on specifics so it's hard to be completely sure. BOZ (talk) 10:40, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
What about this? [9]. Timur9008 (talk) 12:37, 2 November 2022 (UTC)
from the source Electronic Arts Inc. last year sold 5.5 million copies of its The Lord of the Rings game based on a license from Time Warner’s New Line Productions"
I think its The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
- Most likely; are there any other contenders that it could be describing? BOZ (talk) 10:49, 2 November 2022 (UTC)
- Well the Article is from May 2004. Return of the King released in 2003. I'm not sure what else could it be. Timur9008 (talk) 11:30, 2 November 2022 (UTC)
- Yeah that's probably it then. BOZ (talk) 11:35, 2 November 2022 (UTC)
Do you know which Rambo game is this? [10] Timur9008 (talk) 12:49 ,7 December 2022 (UTC)
- Well, the clipping from 1989 is talking about Acclaim and the NES, so searching on Mobygames the only one that makes sense to me is this, which would be here. BOZ (talk) 12:12, 7 December 2022 (UTC)

Please don't replace a redirect with a draft article, then move that page to draftspace, like you did with Free D.C!. This leaves a redirect to draft-space which needs to be deleted, as well as not allowing our readers to continue to what the previous target of the redirect was. Instead, could you please create the drafts in draft-space and then move them to article-space when finished over the redirects (if you can't do this, you can ask at WP:RM/TR), or keep the articles in article-space while you write them? Thanks. Elli (talk | contribs) 00:58, 25 February 2022 (UTC)

Hi! Was wondering can you split the information regarding Cricket 97(including the cover art) from Cricket (video game series) to its own article. Timur9008 (talk) 13:00, 17 March 2022 (UTC)
Here are all the sources that I found btw. (there are probably more though)
https://www.newspapers.com/clip/97792630/the-age/

- Good idea, looks like it used to be a separate article but was unsourced. If you're confident that we've got enough sources to split it back out then that's good enough for me, I will try to find the time to do that later today. BOZ (talk) 12:10, 17 March 2022 (UTC)

- No worries :) It's no rush. (i will probably find the time to do it myself) The reason I asked is that many dates don't match up. Like Mickey's Safari in Letterland which uses GameFAQs(user-edited source) for the source for the release date. (says the game was released in 1993 but according to Beam Software's website it was released in 1990[12] (but also links that Nintendo PDF document). So I'm not sure which is correct here)Timur9008 (talk) 23:00, 17 March 2022 (UTC)

ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 14:36, 28 March 2022 (UTC)Re: Infoboxes
I heavily suggest you add infoboxes to every article you create, in my opinion they are pretty much bare minimum for any article by an experienced editor. I understand that you are mostly into making placeholders for older games but the omission of them is mostly throwing work on other editors, who will eventually have to make infoboxes for all those articles! And adding to the backlog of articles with no infobox.
If you have difficulties, the visual editor eliminates having to code the infobox or copy and paste it.
In terms of references it is also frowned upon to just chuck a bare Internet Archive link in there. Again, that dumps the responsibility onto other editors to properly cite the magazine in question. Thank you. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 14:58, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
- OK, I will try to add a bare minimum infobox, although I am often not sure what information to include in which field, so I will leave that part to whoever wants to add it. BOZ (talk) 15:11, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
- At minimum I usually include: Publisher and Developer (basically just the company names, linked if able), Release date (full date is preferable to just the year), Platform (what console or systems it runs on) and Genre. Mode can also be either Single-player, multiplayer or have both. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 21:42, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
- The infobox you have started adding is a good start, but I would heavily recommend including the platform(s) and whether it is single-player, multiplayer or both in the infobox as well. This at least makes it easier to categorize the page properly without having to do additional research. Thanks. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 18:09, 30 March 2022 (UTC)

Whether the information you are adding is important is questionable, but since you are not adding citations to the article your information is definitely unsourced. BOZ (talk) 10:35, 29 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Reference878: Honestly, saying that you don't know how to add citations would suggest that you need to learn how to do so, not that we should all just put up with it. Or, to put it another way, go here and read all of it, then put it in to practice. Don't just tell us that you don't know how to add citations. I notice that you haven't used the Odinson account since 6 March. Before anything goes wrong, I will say this: You must not use that account for illegitimate purposes. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 17:43, 6 April 2022 (UTC)Battle of the Bulge by Avalon Hill, 1969
BOZ, there is currently an article about Avalon Hill's 1991 version of Battle of the Bulge. However, there are two preceding editions of this game (1965 and 1981). The 1965 edition is particulary important, since it is such an early wargame. (It also led, indirectly) to the founding of SPI.) I need some advice on how to proceed:
- Option A: Leave the 1991 article as is, and create a new article about the 1965 and 1981 editions, linked to the 1991 article?
- Option B: Retitle the 1991 article (to <<Battle of the Bulge (Avalon Hill)>> perhaps?) and incorporate info about the 1965 and 1981 editions into the present article? Guinness323 (talk) 23:57, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
- Complicated! :) So my question was going to be, was the 1991 version a fully separate game, or was it a remake of the previous games? BGG says it's the third version[16] so I'm inclined to think that unless there is some compelling reason why the 1991 version is notable and different enough to have its own separate article, then we should move that page to a new title and you can restructure it to be about all three versions. Based on the title of the first two versions, I would suggest moving the page to The Battle of the Bulge (board wargame) since there is a video game to disambiguate against. Hello. Please see WP:QUOTEFARM. You need to actually write articles, not just create Metacritic-like quote collections. I find it concerning that you found this ready to be published. It's not an article, it's just a collection of quotes. It's more quotes than article. Please focus on actually writing articles rather than churning out quote collections like this. Hi Boz, with regard to this, some of my dictionaries don't list it and others refer to it as an 'archaic variant'. Quotes can though be 'silently corrected' on the basis of MOS:PMC. Seeing the item was written in 1984 shall we leave it original and put a hide tag on it so it doesn't come up to be considered again. Neils51 (talk) 04:21, 17 April 2022 (UTC)

Thank you for the kind clicks, BOZ. But one question: How did you create this diff? Normally a diff requires one to choose two versions to compare with the radio buttons. Otherwise, if you just want to show the first version of an article, I have to do that. How did you create a diff from the first version of the article? Nightscream (talk) 00:45, 2 May 2022 (UTC)

Recent redirect
Hello BOZ! Are you aware that Spider eater (Dungeons & Dragons) was restored from redirect based on a RfC discussion? Unfortunately I did not see secondary sources on that one (that's why I had removed its section from Monsters in Dungeons & Dragons), nor for Rock reptile and Barkburr, except for Extracts from Noah's Diary, where it is incorporated in the fiction, but it's mentioned that it is from "Dungeons & Dragons mythology". If you can think of a way to use that, that would be great, but it eludes me at that time. Daranios (talk) 11:14, 3 May 2022 (UTC)
- That is interesting. :) I can probably figure out a way to use that story if I can figure out what it is about; I will take a look later. I see that the outcome of the discussion was to restore the article, which is weird, but it sounded like they also want to do an AFD but didn't actually do one, which is weirder. I redirected it to the disambiguation page until we can establish notability, or at least get the 3E monster list back into article space. If it needs to be an article again in the meantime, then so be it. BOZ (talk) 11:52, 3 May 2022 (UTC)

@BOZ: There was a character named Arthur Harrow in literally ONE issue of Moon Knight back in 1985, but they are an entirely different character completely unrelated to Ethan Hawke's character in the Moon Knight television series: a Nazi scientist who was basically Two-Face if they had chronic pain-inducing half-facial paralysis, focused on curing it. He sets a panther on Moon Knight, who crashes his helicopter, and that was it. Really Arthur Harrow should redirect to Characters of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and a Arthur Harrow (comics) page should be made as a redirect to here if there should be one (as they are otherwise a non-notable character, the name being nothing more than an WP:EASTEREGG, if that). PIcavery (talk) 17:47, 10 May 2022 (UTC)

ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 02:42, 27 May 2022 (UTC)DragonStrike (video game): do we even need to mention this at all?
Hello.
To answer your question: yes... but I might be wrong. I remember I found websites that mix up setting and genre of video games, and in particular they assume that "role-playing video game" and "fantasy-setting video game" are the same thing, or that any Dungeons & Dragons game must necessarily be a role-playing game. It may be a thing of the past, or very old websites. What do you think?
My sources are the review by the Computer Role-Playing Games Addict (external link here) and the manual (link to the Museum of Old Computer Adventure Games History here). I know that these sources are reliable, but are they widely known as well? As far as I know, they may be obscure websites. --Abacos (talk) 18:37, 27 May 2022 (UTC)
Re:Back
Hey BOZ—I don't know if I qualify as "back" yet, to be honest! I've been editing a bit this month as a way to cool off after work, which has been insane lately. It's been fun to do a little editing again on my pet fixations on Wikipedia (sales figures, German games, etc.).
Looking at that list, I'm glad to see that many of the pages have expanded a lot since the old days. People have been busy in my absence! It's reassuring to know. If things pan out to where I can return in a significant way, beyond just stealth-editing to relax in spare moments, I'll look into resurrecting my old projects: the Next Gen reviews, the Pendulo Studios good topic, the Dracula: Resurrection GA and so on. I had to leave a lot of stuff unfinished when work picked up a few years ago.
In any case, it's awesome to see that you're still around. I worry a lot about WPVG's future—between Wikipedia's traffic dip, Google not favoring us as much anymore and the perennial problem of bringing in new blood. Seeing that the old guard is still fighting helps. I'm noticing an uptick in editors I don't recognize, too, which is a very good thing. JimmyBlackwing (talk) 22:52, 31 May 2022 (UTC)
- I'm definitely still away from Wikipedia, unfortunately. But I looked around a little bit and found this list of reviews archived on the company's old site. Grenadier Models Inc & Other Wikis
Hi Boz, noticed you reversed the changes made to the Grenadier page and wondered if you could provide some advice. If the reference to LMWiki is not acceptable and there are no other references (annoyingly Forlorn Hopes website doesn’t reference Grenadier as such) I presume that removing the reference and just providing the information is ok? The information regarding the license passing to EM4 (and the rest of that section) has no references so hence I thought it better to have a reference. Any advice much appreciated. Dylanpig (talk) 12:13, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
- Hi there! I suggest that you take a read through Wikipedia:Reliable sources to get an idea of what sources are acceptable for Wikipedia. Specifically for the case of using wikis as sources, see the "User-generated content" section of that page (or click on the shortcut WP:USERG) where it explains more about that. Ideally all information on Wikipedia should be cited to a reliable source, so it is not generally acceptable to add new unsourced information, and can be removed by anyone at any time for any reason. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 08:19, 9 June 2022 (UTC)RE: Adding stuff to the request list
There has already been a couple of people, myself included, who have reverted some of your additions to WP:VG/R because they appear on their face to be non-notable. Is there a misunderstanding and they have sources somewhere you are just not posting? Every game posted there should have at least 3 linked sources from different publications or else it fails GNG and should not be a request. There was already a massive amount of games nobody was ever going to make an article for because few or no sources were given. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 13:48, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
- I did find a lot of sources that were not included in the original requests, partly on a database I've been keeping, some from Mobygames, and some from the VG Reference Library. At first I was also doing archive.org searches to see what else I could find, but that was taking a long time - I will go back and look for more of those on anything I added back that was not a clear GNG hit. BOZ (talk) 13:56, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for your patience, and if you can do me a small favor please. If you can see that I basically spent all day at this and found a ton of reviews, I have a lot left to look through but have run out of steam for the day. Indulge me one more day to go through the rest of the sources that I have to look through and let me add them to the request page, and after that if anything is still lacking you can remove it without my interference. Thanks! BOZ (talk) 04:18, 10 June 2022 (UTC)

Spider-Man → FA?
Hello, BOZ. With the 60th anniversary of Spider-Man coming up (this month?) August 10th, is it possible that the article could be an FA? It needs some expanding (and it has some maintenance templates), but I truly think if we get Spider-Man to FA by August, then that would be great. I also saw you helped address the comments during the article's GA review back in February 2009. Thanks. — SirDot (talk) 12:35, 13 June 2022 (UTC)

Greetings! Can i make a new one above all (Marvel comics) page. It's is already present on the List of Marvel Comics characters: O. It's big enough to be expanded to an article. Is it valid to publish a new improved article? Other articles similar to One Above All (For example: dc 's presence) already have a permanent wikipedia page. So Can i publish the One above All article (with improvements of course). I only wanted your approval. And the rules for publishing something like this. I'm really sorry to bother you. Rabe
So you can see I'm on a bit of a tear over there. Would love to have you help me. It's helpful when the newspaper not only publishes her byline but also directly details (she did some pretty impressive journalism). I think we have enough to start with, but most of the direct detailing (as traditional with artists amd media folks) comes right out of her mouth. I'm seeing some quotes in a ChiTrib article from 1988. We may need to utilize Polyhedron to directly detail her work at TSR. It's not independent at all but she wasn't lying about herself while making thousands of friends at RPGA. The stuff after TSR I'll need to find another way of documenting. Writers don't get so much direct coverage if they're not winning awards or gaining reviews. Any sourcing you can find would be useful. I'm rewriting the entire page but might not finish this soon, seeing as how I'm at the auction all week. I'd like to discuss GenCon with you further, but since it's personal, not onwiki. - No worries. No deadline. I may have it covered. Really cool stuff on the Rabe newpapers.com search. Agreed re:GC. YGM. BusterD (talk) 19:27, 2 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hey there User:BusterD, I took a look and you gave a really good expansion to the lead and I love how you built a whole journalism section after having just two sentences for that. :) Sometimes in our hobby we forget that the creators have lives outside of the materials that we know best, so it's important to honor that! I tweaked a little bit but it's looking nice so I'm not sure what more I can add. Appelcline would be my go-to source, and there's already a couple of sentences in there from him which I originally added back in 2014 from the original edition, so I could double check the four-volume edition tomorrow to see if there's more material for her. Question on Pyramid Reviews
@Guinness323: Hello BOZ! In this AfD (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dungeoneer (game)), there's dispute on whether the Pyramid reviews are full or capsule ones (IMO the review should be long to be SIGCOV, but there's no evidence other than snippets). As you often improve BTG articles with magazines, I'm wondering if you could have a look? Also pinging Guinness323. Thanks! VickKiang (talk) 00:38, 2 August 2022 (UTC)
- From the few cases where I have seen the full review, they are definitely snippets of much longer reviews that you can only obtain by having a subscription. BOZ (talk) 00:39, 2 August 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks, so do you think these reviews count to WP:GNG as SIGCOV? VickKiang (talk) 00:52, 2 August 2022 (UTC)
- I would personally say so. BOZ (talk) 02:54, 2 August 2022 (UTC)
- I think I knew someone who had access to Pyramid at some point; BusterD, jClemens, or Torchiest perhaps? BOZ (talk) 10:17, 2 August 2022 (UTC)
- Meant to ping Jclemens. :) BOZ (talk) 10:28, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
- I never had a subscription to Pyramid, I suspect it's as RS as The Space Gamer, White Dwarf, or Dragon, which clearly are... even if they're not independent of their own products. Jclemens (talk) 19:56, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks, so do you think these reviews count to WP:GNG as SIGCOV? VickKiang (talk) 00:52, 2 August 2022 (UTC)

Some doubts
I'm so sorry to bother you. But is it possible to update the thor cover in The Thor (Marvel Comics) Page. Its is somewhat outdated. Thor has went up through a lot of outfit changes over the decades. Wouldn't be more useful If we put up a more recent image? I do not mean to break any rules, I just wanted some clarification. That's all Thanks for listening! Shiraj chandra (talk) 15:51, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
- I would ask User:TriiipleThreat for an opinion on this, who can probably clarify better than me. BOZ (talk) 19:27, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
- Per WP:CMOS#BOXIMAGE, we should use “the most universally recognisable appearance of a character”, not the most recent.—TriiipleThreat (talk) 23:14, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
Sir, the most recognizable appearance is his black and silver suit, which is how he is portrayed in most of the media sources Including the Thor movies. The blue and red suit was a classic suit Which only lasted until the 80s and made a few brief appearances in later editions. The black and silver suit is the most well recognized. I still want to learn more about this! Shiraj chandra (talk) 16:56, 4 August 2022 (UTC)
About The Metal Master Page
Because, there are already citations in the Fictional character biography. Sundropie (talk) 02:01, 4 August 2022 (UTC)

The Court of Ardor in Southern Middle Earth
Would you be able to double-check the release date for The Court of Ardor in Southern Middle Earth? Article indicates 1983, but some book databases, e.g. Goodreads, seem to indicate 1984. Waxworker (talk) 23:21, 10 August 2022 (UTC)
- Fair! RPGnet says 1983, RPGGeek likewise says 1983, and those are the two I usually go by, and Heroic Worlds concurs with 1983 as well. BOZ (talk) 00:22, 11 August 2022 (UTC)
@Guinness323: Hello, BOZ, IMHO I need your help with Gunship 2000 (wargame). You're the creator of this article, but right now GNG isn't met. Only ref 1 count towards GNG, ref 2 is a capsule review
so isn't significant. I couldn't find any refs, so am interested if you could find more. Also pinging Guinness323. The second article, Fantasy Land (board game), with only 1 non-significant capsule review, is worse and so obscure that it lacks a BGG entry. If not, I'll take this to AfD. Many thanks! Jessica Drew - Unexplained removal
Hello BOZ,
I noticed you added an information on Jessica Drew's page in "Critical reception" because this information seemed to have been removed without an explanation.
I just wanted to let you know, when I edited the page several hours ago, I did not remove it. I put all the character's rankings in "Accolades." If you scroll down, you will see "Accolades," then, you will see,
"In 2011, Comics Buyer's Guide ranked Jessica Drew 54th in their "100 Sexiest Women in Comics" list."
I always separate "Critical reception" and "Accolades," so maybe it was a bit confusing, but I added it in the "Accolades" list from the beginning. It was never my intention to remove it, but to create a list with it.
Nonetheless, because this information is appearing twice now on Jessica Drew's page, I hope it will not bother you if I remove it from "Critical reception," since it is already in "Accolades."
Best regards.
PS: Sorry if this post sounds tedious to read, I wanted to make sure you can see I was not trying to vandalize the page. 129.194.0.237 (talk) 09:23, 7 September 2022 (UTC)

Armor Command release date
Hi! There are 3 sources mentioning 3 different release dates for this game [21], [22], [23].
What should we do here? Timur9008 (talk) 15:13, 21 October 2022 (UTC)
- Well, that is interesting! Since we have conflicting dates, I wouldn't get too hung up on it. Clearly it was released in the first quarter of 1998, but we can't pinpoint an exact date, so maybe just list it as Q1 or winter, and list all three citations, and someone else can figure it out one day? Exciting new sources
Hey BOZ! Hope things are okay. I just wanted to let you know that the Internet Archive has rolled out a new feature called "DiscMaster," which has big implications for sourcing old game articles. It lets you browse (and even search) the contents of CD-ROMs stored in the Internet Archive.
Just at a glance, this means that a lot of the Inside Mac Games issues are now available to read right in your browser. Here's a cache of them that runs from early '93 to early '95. Browsing through the files, you can get straight to the reviews and articles in RTF format. For example, IMG's 1993 game of the year picks, or this interview with Will Wright, or this review for Flying Nightmares.
It seems like the DiscMaster archives are still being filled out, so there should be a lot more stuff coming (from IMG and all the other magazines that had CD-ROMs back then). Pretty exciting! JimmyBlackwing (talk) 20:47, 24 October 2022 (UTC)

A greeting and a small question
Hi BOZ, first of all I wanted to thank you for the work done for the DragonHeart: Fire & Steel page, since you managed to fix it properly by making it clear why it is encyclopedic and for this I am grateful to you. I wanted to take this opportunity to ask you a question about it, I noticed that in the gamebox it is reported that the game was released in Japan on April 21, 1997 but looking online on websites such as GameFAQs, MobyGames, Famitsu, GAME Watch and 4Gamer.net I can't found any sources about a Japanese release. So since you put the release date in this revision, do you remember where you read or found information about its release in Japan? If so I could put it on the page as a source if you wish. Thanks again for your great contributions on the encyclopedia. --Pazio Paz (talk) 16:49, 28 November 2022 (UTC)
- Hi there and thank you! In actuality after checking, I see that I did not add a release date or infobox, I merely restored it almost four years ago from this previous version before the article was redirected. It looks like that information was added to the article in 2010 by an IP: [44] and modified again by IP in 2012: [45] so if you find that unverifiable then it's simply better to remove it. BOZ (talk) 18:54, 28 November 2022 (UTC)
- OK, thanks for the quick response and sorry if I thought it was you who entered the Japanese date into the gamebox. Now I'm going to remove the Japanese date as there is no evidence on the net about it. Thank you again and I wish you a good continuation. --Pazio Paz (talk) 23:16, 28 November 2022 (UTC)
- No worries, and thanks for brining that to my attention! BOZ (talk) 00:15, 29 November 2022 (UTC)

Kindred and more
My congratulations for granting Kindred his own article even in light of the truth that was revealed in the "Sinister War" storyline as well as restoring specific articles of those who appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Would you have done the same thing for any characters that appear in it's sister counterpart associated with DC Comics? Also, another editor had twice tried to establish the page for King Thor after I had created it as a redirect. Though other editors reverted it due to their claim that it is doesn't have enough notability to it. I just wanted to tell you that. --Rtkat3 (talk) 15:37, 5 December 2022 (UTC)
- Hi there, and thanks! Unfortunately, I don't have any more input on those other characters at this time. BOZ (talk) 15:39, 5 December 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know. If you happen to stumble on those inputs, you can make use of them. Rtkat3 (talk) 15:56, 5 December 2022 (UTC)

Merry Christmas
Hi BOZ, thanks for the Christmas message. I don't interact with other editors as much as in years past, so it's heartening to hear from someone. Hope that all is well with you and that you have an enjoyable Christmas weekend.
