Re:USS Maine (ACR-1)
[edit]Nice work on the article, I see you've beefed it up quite a bit. I see no reason to leave the tag now although there is always room for improvement with anything on WP:) Burningview ✉ 02:57, 16 February 2010 (UTC)

Grand Central
[edit]Hi, Badger151,
Thank you for un-doing my changes to the Grand Central Terminal story. I have no idea what I did, however, I knew that I did it and didn't know how to un-do it - so, Thanks.
I do find many factual errors in Wikipedia, and I have changed several - but never "hit" the wrong key.
So, I still don't know how to change things back. I do know that all of my changes are correct, though.

Auxiliary Steam Propulsion
[edit]Quite a lot of ships have two methods of propulsion, and I think you should be very cautious about applying the category auxiliary steamers to them. Steam warships from the 1840s-70s often had sails and steam. In some cases sails were a back-up system. The usual reason for having both sail and steam was to use steam as the primary method of propulsion in action, and sails as the primary method when not in action - you could think of this as steam for tactical movement and sails for strategic movement. I think that you should only apply the category auxiliary steamers to ships that used steam as a back up system.
I have reverted your edits to the British steam two-deckers Agamemnon and Sans Pareil because these were steam line-of-battle ships; their primary method of propulsion in action was steam.--Toddy1 (talk) 06:23, 5 November 2010 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for March 29
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Ambulance emergency response vehicle, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Sedan and Mall (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Survey Invite
[edit]I'm working on a study of political motivations and how they effect editing. I'd like to ask you to take a survey. The survey should take 5 minutes. Your survey responses will be kept private. Our project is documented at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Research:Wikipedia_%2B_Politics.
I am asking you to participate in this study because you are a frequent editor of pages on Wikipedia that are of political interest. We would like to learn about your experiences in dealing with editors of different political orientations.
Sincere thanks for your help! Porteclefs (talk) 15:47, 16 June 2017 (UTC)

Camera car moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Camera car, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. buidhe 16:25, 2 March 2020 (UTC)

Your draft article, Draft:Camera car
[edit]Hello, Badger151. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Camera car".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply and remove the {{db-afc}}

, or {{db-g13}}
code.
If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! —Nnadigoodluck🇳🇬 01:05, 4 September 2020 (UTC)
