You are editing articles covered by your topic ban
[edit]I’m giving you one free pass. Note many articles covered by your ban don’t have talk page warnings. But it should have obvious that you are using sources covered by the ban.[1] Doug Weller talk 19:11, 6 April 2024 (UTC)
- Can you please remove this "topic ban" you gave me? I'm just trying to contribute. Bakbik1234 (talk) 19:16, 6 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Bakbik1234 Then you should appeal the topic ban. The instructions to do this are in the ban notice, if you have problems with them let me know. But I suggest you wait a few months first and edit articles not covered by the ban. If you don't understand what the ban covers, and I'm not sure that you do, then stay away from any articles involving Israel, Palestine, etc. Doug Weller talk 07:45, 7 April 2024 (UTC)
- Oh, so I still have the topic ban? /= Please check out my appeal here. Bakbik1234 (talk) 17:17, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
- You still have the ban. It takes more than a few minutes for a decision to be made. Doug Weller talk 17:51, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
- I know but I thought you removed it... Bakbik1234 (talk) 17:53, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
- Regardless of the topic ban, you can't edit any article covered by WP:ARBPIA because you are not an extended confirmed editor. Look at the box at the top of Talk:Walid Daqqa, for example. Black Kite (talk) 18:10, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
- Edit requests are allowed. Bakbik1234 (talk) 18:14, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
- But you're correct I'm still under a topic ban which makes my edit requests illegitimate. Bakbik1234 (talk) 18:19, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Bakbik1234@Black Kite it’s not just edit requests. See[2] The problem is although I gave a pass the first time the ban was violated, I’m not sure I should again or that they understand it.
- And the basis for their appeal at WP:AE ls “ I'm ethnically Jewish but it doesn't mean that my coverage of the conflict can't be neutral. I write everything from a neutral point of view that would be described as "liberal" by both neo-Zionists and neo-antisemites.”. Doug Weller talk 18:43, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
- What's the problem with Jews? I can provide sources in Hebrew while maintaining a neutral point of view. Bakbik1234 (talk) 18:55, 10 April 2024 (UTC)

Even without the ban you cannot edit articles in this area
[edit]That’s because you first need to have been here 30 days and have 500 edits. Note also that the content of your edits is irrelevant. Doug Weller talk 21:06, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
Your appeal at AE

topic ban, part 2
[edit]If you are topic-banned from Israel-Palestine, that means you cannot touch the subject anywhere, e.g. this edit. Given the above discussion at "You are editing articles covered by your topic ban," you may be on some pretty thin ice here. Zaathras (talk) 21:14, 16 April 2024 (UTC)
- @ScottishFinnishRadish I doubt that this editor will ever understand their topic ban or the restrictions in the topic area. I’m leaning towards an indefinite block. Doug Weller talk 18:38, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
- You can indef as an AE action. I'll try and take a look a bit later and take action if you haven't. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 18:42, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
- @ScottishFinnishRadish Done but needs logging and I won’t be on my pc fog about 11 hours. I’ll try to do it on my iPad but not sure I can. Doug Weller talk 19:01, 19 April 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Cannibal Corpse, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page WOUB. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

[edit]If you believe this block is unjustified, please read the guide to appealing blocks (specifically this section) before appealing. Place the following on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Please copy my appeal to the [[WP:AE|arbitration enforcement noticeboard]] or [[WP:AN|administrators' noticeboard]]. Your reason here OR place the reason below this template. ~~~~}}
. If you intend to appeal on the arbitration enforcement noticeboard, I suggest you use the arbitration enforcement appeals template on your talk page so it can be copied over easily. You may also appeal directly to me (by email), before or instead of appealing on your talk page.
Reminder to administrators: In May 2014, ArbCom adopted the following procedure instructing administrators regarding Arbitration Enforcement blocks: "No administrator may modify a sanction placed by another administrator without: (1) the explicit prior affirmative consent of the enforcing administrator; or (2) prior affirmative agreement for the modification at (a) AE or (b) AN or (c) ARCA (see "Important notes" [in the procedure]). Administrators modifying sanctions out of process may at the discretion of the committee be desysopped."
