Renaming a page

[edit]

Hey there - Wysprgr2005 dropped me a note about how to fix a page name and I fixed the article you were working on. If you want to change an article title in the future, you actually "move" the article to the new title. There's a more detailed explanation at Help:Moving_a_page. And to get you started, here's some other areas of Wikipedia that will help you learn your way around:

JU flights

The flights to Abu Dhabi are confirmed and will go ahead 100%. They start May 5 so they will probably be added on the JU website some time before that.

PROD protocols

When contesting the proposed deletion of an article, as you did with Tomislav Ćiraković, please explain you reason for doing so in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. Thank you. Sir Sputnik (talk) 23:02, 23 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Repost of Jovan Nikolić

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Jovan Nikolić requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion process. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, place the template {{hang on}} underneath the other template on the article and put a note on the page's discussion page saying why this article should stay. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please contact the administrator who deleted the page or use deletion review instead of continuing to recreate the page. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 01:16, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Božo Marković has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article about a footballer who fails WP:GNG and who has not played in a fully pro league.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Sir Sputnik (talk) 02:22, 15 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Admir Adrović, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Sir Sputnik (talk) 11:53, 17 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Belgrade Airport/Qatar Airways

[edit]

Hi there. Please familiarize yourself with the WP:AIRPORTS page content. Firm dates are needed for an airline starting future services (I have removed Qatar Airways at Belgrade Airport) and "2012" is not a date. Once a firm date is established and confirmed by Qatar Airways, then it can be readded to the destination list. If you disagree with this, please bring it up for discussion at the project talk page and gain consensus. Snoozlepet (talk) 07:09, 23 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Pozdrav, just to let you know that I expanded a bit the article. I had gathered info on him here but I didn´t created him an article because he only made his first pro appereance just in last round of SuperLiga, and you antecipated me :) I hope you don´t mind that I also moved his name to Danny as that is how he was mostly known while playing in both, club level, and USA U17 and U18 national teams, so it would be important not to loose that link. Anyway, I posted here just to let you know of this and to send you regards. FkpCascais (talk) 01:21, 16 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, i am aware of that. One player may play 1 minute in the top league in Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia or even Macedonia, and can have an article, but a player with a remarcable career in the Montenegrin First League can´t... The major problem is if a league is considered professional, or not. Here is the list of pro leagues in which one single appereance makes a player passes notability: list of fully professional leagues. The problem is that it indicates Montenegrin First League as not fully professional by using this source. Unless the Montenegrin Football Association has changed something in meantime, there is not much we can do... I´ll try to see if I can find anything that could help us. Hi. In Danny Barrera, you recently added a link to the disambiguation page American (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

The best place to solve that issue is to open a thread about it at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football. It is quite common to see from time to time some league being discussed there if it is professional, or not. Another place could be in the talk page of the Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Fully professional leagues, however the first option, the main Football Project discussion page will be ideal to bring this to everyone´s attention. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
