Adoption... part... uh... the next part

You could either make your own or use {{archivebox}}. Hope that helps, Master of Puppets Call me MoP! 17:52, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

Hmm, that's strange. Is your connection resetting while you're editing? Master of Puppets Call me MoP! 00:08, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
Well, if it keeps happening, I have no idea why; it might be your browser, or your internet service provider, or a number of things. I'm not technical enough :( Sorry! I'll try to help with Wikipedia though. :) Cheers, Master of Puppets Call me MoP! 00:44, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
It is possible that the page was moved by vandals, in which case both pages are added to your watchlist. Cheers, Master of Puppets Call me MoP! 01:38, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
Nope, as long as a user has been around for about 4 days and is registered they can remove any page (aside from move-protected and protected pages). Cheers, Master of Puppets Call me MoP! 01:47, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
For the check, do you mean Image:Yes check.svg? Also, what kind of table do you mean? Just a standard one? Cheers, Master of Puppets Call me MoP! 01:21, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
Table created; expand to your liking. :) Cheers, Master of Puppets Call me MoP! 01:39, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
What do you mean by vandal counter? How many times your pages have been vandalized, you mean? Master of Puppets Call me MoP! 19:57, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
Ah, that; I think it would be easier to slip in a small table rather than that exact template, is it messes around with the other tables. Also, would you like me to add the "Welcome" sign into a table? Cheers, Master of Puppets Call me MoP! 16:43, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

Hans-Paul Schwefel

Hi!

Could you unlock the wikipedia page upon Hans-Paul Schwefel?

I am doing some modifications on it, but it seems not to accept them.

Your edit summary usage

Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:
Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field - please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. - Milk's Favorite Cookie 18:15, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

Re: Edits

Thanks! Yours is nice too. And oh yeah, I used to always forget edit summaries, but if you want to "enforce" yourself to do edit summaries go to "My Preferences" then click on "Editing". Then if you want place a check next to "Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary", and you will not miss an edit summary again :) - Milk's Favorite Cookie 18:19, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

Re: List of Registered Historic Places in Duval County, Florida

I, and the creator of List of Registered Historic Places in Duval County, Florida object to your suggestion to merge the article with List of Registered Historic Places in Florida. See the talk page to the Duval County, Florida article for the reason why. ----DanTD (talk) 21:30, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

No. The guy exists - why do you say that? - Milk's Favorite Cookie 23:29, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

Yeah - whoops! I fixed that. Article creation # 47 :) - Milk's Favorite Cookie 23:31, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
Yeah it does. Looking. Also - when you put a tag: {{verify}} in this case. Please also put the date: like this: {{verify|date=January 2008}} Why don't you go to that to that article. Thanks! - Milk's Favorite Cookie 23:35, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

I think the move would be a bad idea because he is most known/recognized as Dick Smith. This is the name that appears on DatabaseFootball.com, ProFootballReference, and on www.jt-sw.com. If you still think this needs consideration, please let me know. Jwalte04 (talk) 00:05, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Thomas W. Sieh question

Hey, my article about Thomas Sieh got the speedy delete. I thought since he was the all-time leading rusher at Texas Southern University, he might at least make it as a stub. Did the lack of a significant NFL career keep him from being notable? Peace. Duane L. Freeman (talk) 08:09, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Re:Huh?

Dead baby jokes are something along the lines of: "what is pink, creamy and goes around and around? A baby in a blender". Yeah, they're sadistic

My talk page is optimized for Mozilla Firefox using some code that doesn't allow it to render very well in IE or Safari (I haven't checked it with the latter, so I'm not sure). I honestly see no value whatsoever in Internet Explorer, and I'm using code that allows me to be more flexible with a better platform. User:RideABicycle/Signature 21:54, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Well to each his own I guess. Not everyone likes 'em. User:RideABicycle/Signature 01:30, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

Do not delete my Crystal Rod novel page even though it is too short. I will improve it later

re:your question

Reports of vandalism go to WP:AIV. VanTucky 00:07, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

It's no bother, I'm glad to help. But I don't really understand your question. VanTucky 03:32, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

Re: Thomas Sieh

Thanks for the information. I think I will do some more research and try re-writing it later on.D-free (talk) 07:47, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

I haven't received any negative comment or response yet. But it seems that this user doesn't like people who tag his article for AfD and use to make negative comments and sometime do vandalism at their userpages. If it happens again, I'll make strong complain to ban him. Actually, he is still a kid! -- Cheers. -- Niaz(Talk • Contribs) 10:19, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

Thank you!

Thank you very much for the barnstar, I appreciate it very much. I love working on articles related to all things Texas.

I am curious about who you determined the edit count. I know how to list out my edit count for the pages I edit most, but that just lists out info on individual pages. Did you manually add them up for all A&M pages, or is there a better way?

Thanks again, Johntex\talk 19:04, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

Hi, basket, I couldn't understand the message on my talk page. Did you want to continue the FAC on George Washington even though it has several Opposes? SandyGeorgia (Talk) 00:18, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

Here it is:

I deleted that link...it was exactly what you said it was. Remember, on Wikipedia, Be bold! If you think that there is a useless advertising site link on another page (which I am sure you will find at some point) just remove it! In that same vein, I removed the {{helpme}} template from your talk page, as I think I answered your question. If you have any more questions, just talk to me on my talk page. Notability of Mike Nardi

A tag has been placed on Mike Nardi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. brewcrewer (yada, yada) 03:56, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

Well thank you very much! I would have loved to have supported for George Washington as well, but it just needed more cites. It is very well written and presented neatly, so when more cites come about please let me know and I'll check it out. Thanks a lot again, Happyme22 (talk) 04:00, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

FAC listings

When you put a FAC template on an article talk page, please follow the instructions at WP:FAC and complete the process of adding it to the FAC page.[1] Please be aware of the featured article criteria when you nominate articles, as you've nominated several that have failed, that aren't close, and that you've never edited. You may have better results if you will first take an article to peer review, edit to improve the article to good article status according to peer review, and then attempt FAC once you've worked on the article. When you bring unready articles to FAC, it utilizes a lot of Wiki resources. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 01:31, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

No, for everyone, other countries have an opinion on the U.S. leader too. Don't you think? Earthbendingmaster 01:55, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
Sorry for replying late, had to do something. Only registered users, no IP addresses, don't you think? Earthbendingmaster 02:44, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
Sorry, I am trying to navigate between two wikis, I just registered in the simple English wikipedia. It would probably be in user space until it is finished, which then could be moved to wikipedia, I would think, for the poll to start. I can help with it, do you want it as one of my subpages or yours? Earthbendingmaster 02:54, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
Whichever is fine, it was your idea, so maybe yours, of course, being your idea you can decide. Earthbendingmaster 02:58, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
How does User:Basketball110/Presidential poll sound? Earthbendingmaster 03:00, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
Ok. I am going to go ahead and create the page if thats alright? Earthbendingmaster 03:04, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
Yes, thats good. Earthbendingmaster 03:07, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
Created page, you can go ahead and ad if you want, but is it ok if I wait till tomorrow to begin series work? Earthbendingmaster 03:12, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
Getting it designed the way we want it, and you know, just, work on it I supposed. Earthbendingmaster 03:15, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Go ahead and do what ever you want, but I think I am going to wait till tomorrow to work on it. Is that ok with you? Earthbendingmaster 03:18, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Thanks! Asking your opinion, do you think this wikia has potential? I am an administrator on it. Earthbendingmaster 03:21, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
It looks great! Nice work. No, I am going to wait till we move it to Wikipedia namespace. Is that alright? Earthbendingmaster 03:25, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
Ok. I changed a few things at the beginning of the page. I hope you don't mind. Earthbendingmaster 03:30, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
I see no reason why it cannot go ahead and be moved, do you want me to go ahead and move it, or do you want to? Earthbendingmaster 03:48, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
Maybe it should stay in user space, let me check on this. Earthbendingmaster 03:55, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
You mean wikipedia space, which would be project space, ok, I am moving it now. Earthbendingmaster 04:07, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
Not sure, I have to go now, can we talk about it tomorrow? Thanks, I just voted. Cheers. Earthbendingmaster 04:13, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
Thanks. Bye. Earthbendingmaster 04:17, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Hey! I'm still working on the welcome, though I think it would be easiest to take it out of the box its currently in. Also, yup; as long as you created it from scratch then it should be good.
