Don't delete db-empty tags

[edit]

Please don't delete a tag. If you dispute the tag, explain why on the talk page for the article. An editor may remove the tag, not you. Please explain (on the article talk page) why this is notable and should be included in Wikipedia Brian 14:44, 19 June 2006 (UTC)btball[reply]

Cathays, Cardiff

[edit]

Hiya. Thanks for your info. I'm trying to introduce some information about the political map of cardiff. I've added some info about the Cathays electoral ward, but this article was originally about the suburb. Hopefully, not to cause confusion, I think it might be appropriate for the ward to have its own article. Do you agree with this? Do you know what geographical areas are located in the ward? Should it include references to Cardiff city centre, Cathays and Cathays Park?(Sloman 22:14, 12 December 2006 (UTC))[reply]

Commodore Hotel

[edit]

The article Commodore Hotel has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki 04:41, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Theology

[edit]

Hi there! I just saw your user page, and was wondering what theology is actually like at uni. I don't know anyone who is even doing that subject? Is it fun and is it worth it? --pizza1512 Talk Autograph 21:03, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Keeping Up Appearances

[edit]

Firstly, "Bouquet" is capitalised to reflect the fact that its how a surnamed is prounced. People have always seem to be happy with it, but I'm not that fussed about that issue. On the car issue, this has been discussed you might notice on the TalkPage some while ago. Information about her car, and the car of the Hislops (who aren't even minor characters) is trivia and thus unnecessary. It is not a major running joke. There are many minor running jokes/plot lines in Keeping Up Appearances and if we listed them all it would get riduclous (like it was before the TalkPage discussion). Information like this belongs on a fansite, not Wikipedia. --UpDown 14:54, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Captain Hector Barbossa

[edit]

Hmm, I'm still not entirly sure on the whole matter, my best bet so far is to bring it up on the talk page of his page, and if everyone does agree, of most do anyway, I guess it can be changed. Captain Drake Van Hellsing 23:45, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

His name in the show is Grampa, not the "typical" Grandpa, so please do not change this. Thank you, Ctjf83 20:46, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (File:Rs logo.gif)

Proposed deletion of St. David's Retail Park (Bangor)

[edit]

The article St. David's Retail Park (Bangor) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not appear notable to me. Coiuld as easily be folded into the Bangor article?

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

I have nominated Sofie Allsopp, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sofie Allsopp. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Ironholds (talk) 17:29, 20 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Benbristol! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 691 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Paul Williams (British professor) - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Sofie Allsopp - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Cheltenham Minster, St Mary's, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Minster (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. [edit]

Hi, Thank you, for uploading this file.

However, as part of ongoing efforts to ensure all media on English Wikipedia is correctly licensed and attributed it would be appreciated if you were able to confirm some details,

If it's your own work, please include {{own}}, amend the {{information}} added by a third party, and change the license to an appropriate "self" variant. You can also add |claimed=yes to the {{media by uploader}} tag if it is present to indicate that you've acknowledged the image, and license shown (and updated the {{information}} where appropriate).

If it's not your own work please provide as much sourcing/authorship information as you are able to.

This will assist those reviewing the many many "free" images on commons that have not yet been transfered to Commons.Sfan00 IMG (talk) 12:30, 27 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
