September 2019
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at WP:Teahouse, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. David Biddulph (talk) 19:47, 1 September 2019 (UTC)
Some helpful links
[edit]Hi Beth, I see you've been having some trouble with editing the page on your city and asked for help on the Teahouse. You got some helpful links from people there but I feel it would be good to leave these links on this page, your talk page, so that you can access them more easily in the future.
- Wikipedia:Conflict of interest
- Wikipedia:Edit requests
- Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure (You must follow the guidelines listed in this one before editing, per the Wikimedia Foundation terms of use!)
- Wikipedia:Reliable sources
- Help:Referencing for beginners
- Wikipedia:Verifiability
- I also noticed you had some trouble responding to people (you forgot to sign your messages and to indent them) so I am also linking Help:Talk pages.
Thank you for contributing to the encyclopedia! TheAwesomeHwyh 01:12, 2 September 2019 (UTC)
