Speedy deletion nomination of User:Brandbull
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on User:Brandbull, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Abhishek191288 (talk) 15:24, 14 January 2011 (UTC)

Thank you.
A tag has been placed on User:Brandbull, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of User:Brandbull and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Corvus cornixtalk 05:20, 15 January 2011 (UTC)

Hang On
[edit]Does a User Page not be about the user? And thats exactly what has been put at User:Brandbull. Kindly let know what is against policies. Thanks.
- You are violating Wikipedia's WP:SPAM policy. Corvus cornixtalk 05:30, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
Hi Corvus cornix, Kindly let me know what are the lines I have violated as per policy. Is a User Page not about the user? Deleting the page did not help me understand what was wrong. Thanks!

[edit]Although everyone has his/her own user page, you are restricted to only adding information that is not like a promotion of yourself. That is the main reason I had marked a CSD the first time. But you continued to add the same and another editor marked it for CSD. This does not mean we are against you. All we need is that you follow wikipedia's policy of not adding promotion-like material. You cannot even link your own blog (if you have) on your user page. Please have a look at mine and some other wikipedian's user page to get an idea what you may post. Please read this. Hi Abhishek191288 (talk), I did not even know there was something called a Talk Page that we can interact on. I am pretty new to Wikipedia and our friends have been deleting and modifying without considering that I would be a novice and be innocent of the basics of Wikipedia. Anyways, presently I have seen your colorful page and would like to replicate it. However, I do not know so much of coding either. What would you suggest to learn before I make a page like yours. Thanks, Brandbull (talk)
- Well I created my page only about 8 months after being actively involved in editing. I suggest you to get experienced with editing on wikipedia and then create a page like mine. Till then you may add some plain userboxes about yourself but please do not add promotional stuff. Those boxes that you see on my page are called user boxes. Userboxes are pre-defined by some admin/sysops for various categories. There maybe some interest/category that may not have a userbox. Have a look at this: Wikipedia:Userboxes. And lastly, you can sign your posts on talk pages by just typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically replace the same with your username & talk page link and the date and time stamp. BTW I have created a signature for myself. Just in case you don't recognise, it's me User:Abhishek191288.— Why so serious? Talk to me 11:38, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
FYI conflict of interest guideline
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia in User:Brandbull or other pages, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
- linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. You may also wish to consider changing your username, to avoid giving the impression that your account is to be used for promotional purposes. Regardless, doing so does not exempt you from the proscription against editing articles in which you have a conflict of interest. Thank you. – Athaenara ✉ 06:17, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
User page
[edit]Hi there; it seems to be a long time since your userpage was deleted, but not long since your last posting to it. I think that it has not been explained to you, and you may not have discovered, what a userpage is for. I will tell you. You userpage is provided in which you are invited to write about your hopes, aspirations, experience, expectations, skills, etc., in relation to your past, present and future activity on wikipedia. Brief comments about your biography are acceptable, but, I say again, they should be brief. Information about your career, your business interests, your financial situation, your family, etc., are not appropriate. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 22:26, 21 October 2017 (UTC)
