- Wikipedia cannot simply blindly accept copyvio because even if you yourself own it, if the website itself has a "contents owned by the website and subject", that's all that matters. Also, even if the materials were donated to be freely used, the majority of what a website, company or person will put about themselves will simply be advertising, and that's not how articles work therefore simply owning the materials is never an automatic acceptance in place of still being copy-and-pasted.
