Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. New page patrol

[edit]

When you come across a page that's just advertising, a blatant copyright violation or is just some kid's list of his favorite movies, please tag it for deletion under the relevant speedy deletion criterion instead of just tagging it with {{unreferenced}} and marking it as patrolled. Cheers. Kolbasz (talk) 16:46, 16 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Kolbasz

Note taken. I will apply the correct deletion tag moving forward.

Stub tags

[edit]

Please don't add {{stub}} to an article like Qashmar Chenqa which already has a specific stub tag. It just wastes other editors' time. Thanks. PamD 18:15, 16 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello PamD

My mistake, I overlooked this. I will be more cautious going forward.

No content

[edit]

Hi. In cases of articles like SCAT Motor Plant which contain some content please do not mark them for speedy deletion as lacking content. That only applies to articles that truly only have no content or a rephrasing of the title or an external link (etc.), not to articles with a fairly small amount of content. I recommend you look at the criteria for speedy deletion in detail as it's important that speedy deletion criteria are used narrowly (as they bypass normal consensus-based deletion approaches). Seems like you've done some work in new page patrol, so it's extremely important to avoid speedy deletion tagging of articles that shouldn't since it can (unintentionally) bite the newcomers and discourage further editing. Appable (talk) 19:32, 23 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, one other thing, and sorry - I don't mean to criticize everything, just important to keep speedy deletion tags correct. For articles like Kpop dictionary about books, A7 can't be used because A7 applies to very specific criteria listed here and only in the narrow case of lacking a credible claim of significance. Anyway, just a few quick notes about that. Thanks again for your work in NPP, I appreciate it. Appable (talk) 19:36, 23 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Tan Sri Low Yat listed at Redirects for discussion

[edit]

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Tan Sri Low Yat. Since you had some involvement with the Tan Sri Low Yat redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. Alexander Iskandar (talk) 05:16, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
