Stub tags
Please take care not to add {{stub}} to an article like Marwar Lohawat railway station which already has a specific stub tag: it just wastes the time of editors who sort stubs. There were three of these just now. Thanks. PamD 11:49, 23 October 2019 (UTC)

Curious of you meant to tag for WP:Museums. I can't see the connection. No worries either way, just mostly curious StarM 23:27, 24 October 2019 (UTC)
- Hi Star Mississippi Huh, was meant for "Bands and musicians-related" discussion list, clicked the wrong line on delsort drop-down list. Thanks for informing. Remove "museum" and added "Bands and musicians-related" delsort. My apologizes and thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 02:18, 25 October 2019 (UTC)
- Had a feeling it might have been a misclick of some variety, but wasn't sure which to edit it. No worries. Have a great day StarM 21:43, 27 October 2019 (UTC)
Hi, you moved this page to Draft but he played in a Fully professional leagues . I added some sources. please back it to main space! --Maometto97 (talk) 09:03, 27 October 2019 (UTC)
- Hi Maometto97, Greetings, when I moved the paged it is this version which is without independent, reliable sources (such as newspaper). Note Soccerway or transfermark or any sportsmen databases sites are not considered independent, reliable sources, they are just routine sport reports. If you would provide source that talk about the subject "directly" that connect to the club, such as he was signed by the club, about his career and etc that would be good. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 11:45, 27 October 2019 (UTC)
- This source from Tasnim News Agency is just about Mahyar Jabbari and this source from Young Journalists Club says he singed by the Saipa club. Also, you can see a biography about him on this page; By the way, if you think he isn't notable please move it to AFD. --Maometto97 (talk) 12:51, 27 October 2019 (UTC)
- Maometto97 I could not find his nae in This source. Not sure you provide the right one or the tranlation of the text I read is only part of his name shown there. Let me know. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 14:52, 27 October 2019 (UTC)
- If you copy
مهیار جباری
from here and paste it on that page you can find his name; That source says some new players joined to Saipa and Mahyar Jabbari is one of them, but this one is exclusive to him. --Maometto97 (talk) 15:38, 27 October 2019 (UTC)
- If you copy
- Maometto97 thank your for adding the source. Done review. Cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 17:35, 27 October 2019 (UTC)

wg*
tomw.config
. The old global variables will be removed later this year. You can know more about it and tell the developers if you want to try this out on your wiki first.

Charnock Richard F.C. edit deletion
I am wondering what has been deleted from our page? I am part of the Committee at the football club. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.194.138.213 (talk) 18:45, 29 October 2019 (UTC)
- 80.194.138.213 Greetings. This is the edit you mentioned above. Your edit was not supported by independent, reliable source such as from newspaper. Do note "All content must be verifiable. The burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material, and it is satisfied by providing an inline citation to a reliable source that directly supports the contribution" - see WP:PROVEIT and WP:BURDEN. Secondly, since you are the committee at the club, which means you have a conflict of interest (COI) here when you edit the page and Wikipedia highly discourage a COI editor to edit/create the affected page for it is hard for the editor to write the article in neutral point of view. You would provide the source and ask for WP:Edit request on the article talk page and any interested editors would help accordingly. Let me know if anything else I could help. Thank you. UFC on ESPN: Reyes vs Weidman Vandalism removal reverted
I apologize in advance if I am not making this properly, but you left a message on my talk page that you reverted my edit on UFC on ESPN: Reyes vs. Weidman. The edit I made was to remove vandalism, which I would argue, is constructive. Just wondering why you reverted it. Swan89 (talk) 21:43, 30 October 2019 (UTC)

Draft:Sae Nakajima
Fordrafts like this, I have recently not only be rejecting, but listing for deletio njas test pages. The sooner we can remove them. the less follow up is needed. (in facft, this is one of the few sorts of pages where I'll delete single handed -- the individual is presumably a young teenager, and, tho some disagree, i think we need to protect them. - DGG, Greetings. Too me it was a A7, but in draft we dont CSD A7 but reject. Understand why you would said is a Test page and would be better to CSD G2 and would do so next time when I encounter one of these. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 11:06, 31 October 2019 (UTC)

Block
Hi there. I may be receiving a self requested block. This is because I have upcoming circumstances that will require lots of attention. I have requested a two week block. I am contacting you to let you know that if this block goes ahead, I will not be editing the NPP School for the block time. I am hoping to resume once the circumstances have passed. I hope you understand my situation. Thanks, Willbb234Talk (please {{ping}} me in replies) 17:35, 31 October 2019 (UTC)

Ismail Naurdiev (Edit Reversion)
Hello, I updated Ismail Naurdiev's page to reflect his accurate birthday (August 18, 1996). You reverted my edit and the page now reads December 12, 1996 as his birthday in the far right column. You can either use "the horizontal" format of Template:Cite Web or you can use Wikipedia:VisualEditor and all you have to do is to paste the URL and the tool will fill out the necessary fields for you. Click on "Enable VisualEditor" on the top left and check out "VisualEditor's User Guide' on top center of the page. Also, would you pls also provide what type of "diet" the listed food creators created. I have created a table in the article and set up the first row as example. Hello CASSIOPEIA, I improved Draft:Centre de stockage de la Manche. But I am a Frenchman who lives near the German border. As such, my English needs tweaking. New Page Review newsletter November 2019
Hello Cassiopeia,
This newsletter comes a little earlier than usual because the backlog is rising again and the holidays are coming very soon.
- Getting the queue to 0
There are now 807 holders of the New Page Reviewer flag! Most of you requested the user right to be able to do something about the huge backlog but it's still roughly less than 10% doing 90% of the work. Now it's time for action.
Exactly one year ago there were 'only' 3,650 unreviewed articles, now we will soon be approaching 7,000 despite the growing number of requests for the NPR user right. If each reviewer soon does only 2 reviews a day over five days, the backlog will be down to zero and the daily input can then be processed by every reviewer doing only 1 review every 2 days - that's only a few minutes work on the bus on the way to the office or to class! Let's get this over and done with in time to relax for the holidays.
Want to join? Consider adding the NPP Pledge userbox.
Our next newsletter will announce the winners of some really cool awards.
- Coordinator
Admin Barkeep49 has been officially invested as NPP/NPR coordinator by a unanimous consensus of the community. This is a complex role and he will need all the help he can get from other experienced reviewers.
- This month's refresher course
Paid editing is still causing headaches for even our most experienced reviewers: This official Wikipedia article will be an eye-opener to anyone who joined Wikipedia or obtained the NPR right since 2015. See The Hallmarks to know exactly what to look for and take time to examine all the sources.
- Tools
- It is now possible to select new pages by date range. This was requested by reviewers who want to patrol from the middle of the list.
- It is now also possible for accredited reviewers to put any article back into the New Pages Feed for re-review. The link is under 'Tools' in the side bar.
- Reviewer Feedback
Would you like feedback on your reviews? Are you an experienced reviewer who can give feedback to other reviewers? If so there are two new feedback pilot programs. New Reviewer mentorship will match newer reviewers with an experienced reviewer with a new reviewer. The other program will be an occasional peer review cohort for moderate or experienced reviewers to give feedback to each other. The first cohort will launch November 13.
- Second set of eyes
- Not only are New Page Reviewers the guardians of quality of new articles, they are also in a position to ensure that pages are being correctly tagged for deletion and maintenance and that new authors are not being bitten. This is an important feature of your work, especially while some routine tagging for deletion can still be carried out by non NPR holders and inexperienced users. Read about it at the Monitoring the system section in the tutorial. If you come across such editors doing good work, don't hesitate to encourage them to apply for NPR.
- Do be sure to have our talk page on your watchlist. There are often items that require reviewers' special attention, such as to watch out for pages by known socks or disruptive editors, technical issues and new developments, and of course to provide advice for other reviewers.
- Arbitration Committee
The annual ArbCom election will be coming up soon. All eligible users will be invited to vote. While not directly concerned with NPR, Arbcom cases often lead back to notability and deletion issues and/or actions by holders of advanced user rights.
- Community Wish list
There is to be no wish list for WMF encyclopedias this year. We thank Community Tech for their hard work addressing our long list of requirements which somewhat overwhelmed them last year, and we look forward to a successful completion.

Three rally result article you moved to draftspace recently
I am just want to tell you, these three pages, Ford World Rally Team results, Citroën World Rally Team results, Hyundai World Rally Championship results were spilt from their main article per WP:SPLIT. They are list articles. Unnamelessness (talk) 09:53, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
- Unnamelessness Greetings. For stand alone article, in regardless is a normal article or list article, the subject needs to be notable and the content need to be supported by significant coverage form independent, reliale sources. Since they are fork/split from the main articles, then it is very easy to find sources to be included in the draft articles. Once you have done that, then pls click the review button. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 10:26, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
About Draft:2015 Fred Page Cup - a possible bigger issue?
Hi CASSIOPEIA,
I was thinking about not speeding that draft, simply because Fred Page Cup exists, and other seasons for that competition exist in articlespace (2016 Fred Page Cup, 2017 Fred Page Cup and so on.)
The article that an individual season (like 2015 Fred Page Cup) might be WP:REDIRECT-d to has been "{{unreferenced|date=July 2018}}" for some time now. Perhaps we should refer this to nuestros amigas y amigos at the Ice Hockey WikiProject? Pete AU aka --Shirt58 (talk) 11:29, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
- Shirt58 G'day Pete. The draft has already been CSDed 13 - see HERE. I believe you know about field and ice hockey better than I do as I have watched some ice hockey games when I lived in US years ago. The current Fred Page Cup has one source but it is not independent, 2016 Fred Page Cup point a site where many listed articles and 2017 Fred Page Cup has no sources provided since 2017. I am not saying the multiple independent, reliable sources could not be found and believe since ice hockey is the biggest sport in Canada and surely there are some might show up from search to make the pages officially pass notability guidelines. If a WP:REFUND is requested and if you want to nos amis et amis at the Ice Hockey WikiProject, I would support it. Cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 11:58, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
University of Sussex
Hello,
I have been trying to update the University of Sussex student housing section but you keep reverting it. It looks like this at the moment:
Accommodation on campus was expanded in the 1970s with the construction of the unusual split-level flats of East Slope. This development also has a social building with a porter's office and bar. As of 2017, East slope is set for demolition to be replaced by new housing facilities.[159]
In the 1990s, as student numbers rose, further developments were constructed in the corner of campus between East Slope and Park Village. Brighthelm and Lewes Court were constructed in public-private partnership funding arrangements with the Bradford & Northern and Kelsey Housing Associations.
Two newer accommodation areas were completed recently:[when?] one next to Falmer railway station, named Stanmer Court, and the other next to East Slope, opposite Bramber House, known as Swanborough.
During the start of 2019, East Slope accommodation has been under extensive renovation and expected to be completed by 2021. It includes almost 5,000 new housing units as well as a new social space. The total build has a budget of £150 Million. Prices are expected to start of £165 per week.[160]
Northfield were constructed at the top end of campus, beyond Lewes Court, which opened in September 2011. A few years after, they followed by Swanborough accommodation.[161]
In 2017, work to build over 2000 new student houses to be completed by 2020 began as part of the University's plan to build a student village on its Falmer campus.[162]
Overall, there are nine on-campus university managed accommodations, two off-campus university managed flats, two off-campus university managed study lodges and a number of University homes scattered across Brighton and the surrounding villages.[163]
In 2016, there were over 5000 students living in university accommodation, including all first year students (who are guaranteed accommodation).[164]
Would you not agree it needs updating?
Thank you

Did you delete the logo in the infobox of the page "Scottish Chambers of Commerce"
Singh111 (talk) 22:53, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
- Singh111 Greetings. The log is still in the draft article but it is "hidden". The script (1) add the Article for Submission tag (2) hide the logo and (3) add " : " before the Categories - see HERE. When the draft is accepted, then the script will removed the above (1-3) provided the logo could be under free licence. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 00:59, 5 November 2019 (UTC)
NPP
Hello CASSIOPEIA, I know it's not been 6 months yet but again, I would like enroll back in NPPSchool under you and continue my training. I've over 1000 mainspace edits and have fought vandalism extensively using twinkle and huggle, I also created few articles and nominated many for deletion and almost all of them were deleted and I've also participated in some AFD discussions. I was recently declined NPR rights saying that I need more experience, I've been reading the notability guidelines but I feel I'll learn better if I enroll in NPPSchool. Hope you will honour my request. Andrew Base (talk) 18:24, 1 November 2019 (UTC)
- Andrew Base Good day. I commend your your enthusiasm but but you need to build up a better reputation and your experience as what we have discussed before in your talk page. NPPSCHOOL is a lot more complex and harder than CVUA and even NPP shares many guidelines as per AfC, they are very different when it comes to review process and criteria. I became a CUVA and NPP trainer after I have made 70K and 120K edits respectively. From you edit history, edits of 1k and what have happened in NPP course, I do think you need to work on the areas which we have mentioned in your talk page prior restart the NPP course. Wikipedia is always here, take the time to reflect and contribution good edits first. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 10:07, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
- Hi Cass, since then I've a done a lot of CV work, created few articles and also done many CSD and AFD tagging and also spent time reading notability guidelines. I also had a recent NPR request denied by Barkeep49 and he said to come back after a month or so after doing good work in the NPP area. Which one of the areas related to NPP do you think I need to work on the most and also after how many months can I be considered for enrolling back in NPPSCHOOL. Thanks. Andrew Base (talk) 16:55, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
- Andrew Base, Greetings. As per you question above, I stated twice prior your message above. HERE-1 and HERE-2. You have been doing the right things since the incident, and pls continue doing so. If you want to contribute further there are always help needed in Wikipedia - have a look at Maintenance and collaboration resources for there are plenty of projects/areas you would contribute. I am all for fresh start and giving editor the chance to continue the best path of contribution. I along with other editors/admins, believe it would be best for you to continuing working on constructive editing as we have stated in your talk page as you have done now as you have show lack of knowledge to apply and review either NPP or AfC right and articles as reviewing article is more than just knowing the notability guidelines. Come back in March 2020 to re-enrol to the program and I will be happy to work with you. Take you time, slow down and reflect. I know Girth has given you some advice recently in the sub page and it was good to know you took it and I hope you will do the same here. Best. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 06:39, 5 November 2019 (UTC)
Showing appreciation for the little things you do
The Invisible Barnstar | ||
Hey Cassiopeia! You've been doing great work for the Wikipedia project, and haven't been recognized as much as you should have for your tedious, gnomish work here. Whether it be through AfC, AfD, and draftification, in which I have encountered you numerous times throughout each, thanks for being a great user! Now, when are you going to apply RfA? You practically are already doing admin work... Utopes (talk) 04:18, 5 November 2019 (UTC) |
- Utopes Greetings. Thank you for the barnstar and you are most kind. Best. CASSIOPEIA(talk)
Martin Nguyen's Wikipedia page
Hi CASSIOPEIA,
I'd like to request that the deletion of Martin Nguyen's Wikipedia page be reviewed. I see that you were the one who first flagged it. The page was deleted on the basis of not meeting notability guidelines, but the notability guidelines seem to very skewed towards Western organizations at the moment, because MMA rankings are mostly currently run by Western media outlets. Martin is a former two-division and current World Champion in ONE Championship, which is arguably a bigger organization than the UFC in terms of reach and viewership right now. It's just that ONE's base is mostly Asian, which might explain why it is not as well known in the West. I have also raised the issue in the notability guidelines discussion to have ONE Championship moved to top-tier. It's way too skewed toward the UFC at the moment. Evilmichaelscarn (talk) 03:29, 6 November 2019 (UTC)
- Evilmichaelscarn, Greetings and thank you for the message. The WP:MMA guidelines is not based on eastern or western organisation biasness for Bellator MMA is a MMA promotion company from US but at the moment they are ranked as second tier. There are a lot of discussions about certain promoters should be ranked in the top tier and I would like to invite you to read the discussion and the reason behind why they are still yet to be promoted. Based on the guiedlines and reasons they are rightfully in the second/third tier, even thought I personally would like to see a few organisation would be included in the top by amend the guidelines a little. Please see HERE. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 03:44, 6 November 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks CASSIOPEIA, it seems that everyone supported changing the guidelines but it was not actioned? How do we go about doing that then? I'm not that well-versed in Wikipedia bureaucracy haha Evilmichaelscarn (talk) 04:19, 6 November 2019 (UTC)
- Evilmichaelscarn, You can start a discussion and state you case without supporting evident and reasons on why certain promoters are qualify as a top tier promoter or suggest amend of the guidelines; however to say that at the best of case, I believe Bellator will only be the talking point at this moment as we need a promoter must have at least 3 fighters ranked in the top 10 for one continuous year even. If the consensus is agree to change to top 15, ONE Championship would not be in top tier either. I do suggest you to familiar with WP:MMA and all it related sub pages and gather all the evident - provide links/support of evident/sources prior start the discussion for as long as I know for the last few years, no consensus has been made for (1) lack of participants (2) fighters did not ranked in top 10 continuously for 1 year. Lastly, the MMA Project in Wikipedia regulates and adhere/hold up the guidelines tightly to ensure only those who pass the guidelines would merit a page in Wikipedia. Best.
