Welcome to Wikipedia, ChapterandVerse! I am FisherQueen and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome! choice of article title

[edit]

Hi, I think the article you've created at Steve Croft (priest) is incorrectly named. If he's most commonly known as "Steve" (which isn't reflected in the two online refs you give, but they may not be representative), then the article title should be plain Steve Croft - no need to "disambiguate" by adding "(priest)" (it looks as if the cricketer had a duplicate article at that name until a couple of days ago, but he's now been merged into just the one article at Steven). If he's better known as "Steven", then call it "Steven Croft (priest)". As you're a new editor you won't, I think, be able to do the move yourself, but if you drop me a note on my Talk Page I would do it for you. Just let me know which form of his name is really the one he's most commonly known by. I can then do the move and tidy up the "hatnotes" to make sure that everyone can easily find both him and the cricketer! For the moment I've added one to the Steven Croft page. And you could enhance the article by adding ISBNs for his publications - if you put "ISBN" (has to be in capitals, I think), "space" (no colon), then the number, it automatically turns into a link so that people can find the book in library catalogues! Neat. I did one to demonstrate. PamD (talk) 08:28, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
