Articles_for_creation/YawnBuster
Hi Chip, saw your comments on the article. This article was first submitted on Aug 1 when I had the same review comments - seems like an advt. I had therefore modified the text to make it more suitable for an encyclopedia. The second time it was reviewed, I checked with the reviewer and the only thing which was missing was independent, verifiable references. Hence, it beats me that the article gets declined again for seeming like an advt. Will you pls let me know which section of this article should be modified now? Thx. Godimrm (talk) 02:31, 19 August 2012 (UTC)
- Sure, when I read the lead of the article, I found like it sounded like an ad 'which aims to improve' I think sounded like it was advertising. Also 'mire interactive and interesting', that phrase sounds like an ad. So, the main lead is the current issue. Maybe play around with the wording a bit, to reduce a promo tone Hope that's helped.--Chip123456 09:49, 19 August 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks Chip. Changed the opening to YawnBuster is a software which increases audience involvement during PowerPoint presentations by embedding structured group activities in the presentation. Launched in 2008, YawnBuster has been developed by Harbinger Knowledge Products. Is this more appropriate? Godimrm (talk) 11:28, 19 August 2012 (UTC)
- 'By embedding structure group activities' see, I think that sounds slightly promotional.--Chip123456 12:23, 19 August 2012 (UTC)

Hi, in response to this [1], I'm informing you that I've tried many times to discuss with those users but theyr're close minded because they're here to insert and protect their propaganda, they're not here to improve the article...for example, they're inserting RASD Flags in neutral articles (western sahara, saharawi people,...), I think I've to demand an arbitration from administrators.--Yusuf ibn Tashfin (talk) 18:04, 19 August 2012 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) The place to resovle this is on the article talk page as Chip has recommended in his edit summary. A discussion was started but has seen no further action since 8 August. Failing that, place some invitations to the discussions on the users' talk pages. We don't generally take matters like this to admin boards until this has been done, and if you do now, you will probably get the same answer. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 04:30, 21 August 2012 (UTC)

FYI, chanserv's up again. Mdann52 (talk) 19:08, 20 August 2012 (UTC)
- Just to note, ChanServ periodically "restarts" - that's why it left for a bit. Theopolisme :) 20:03, 20 August 2012 (UTC)

Vandalism Studies Update - August 2012
Hello, members of the Vandalism Studies Project! As some of us are quite new with the Vandalism Studies project, it would make sense for us to re-read some of the past studies, as well as studies outside the project. Please do so if you have a chance, just so we can get into the groove of things. We're planning on attempting to salvage the Obama study (or possibly simply convert it to a new Romney study), as well as hopefully begin our third study this November. If you have any ideas for Study 3, please suggest them! If you have any questions please post them on the project talk page. Thanks, and happy editing - we can't wait to begin working on the project! --Dan653 (talk) and Theopolisme :)

- (talk page stalker) Hi, ArchaicMatters! Adminship is a user right on Wikipedia that allows access to the most powerful features on the site - like deleting pages and blocking editors. It is only granted to users once the community !votes to give them this right - which typically requires years of experience on Wikipedia, extensive knowledge of Wikipedia policy, and lots more. You're not ready yet (you're only an hour or so old! ) This useful page should give you some more info. Cheers! Theopolisme 20:06, 27 August 2012 (UTC)
- Administrators aren't more important than regular editors, just have more buttons. Theos explained it pretty well.--Chip123456 20:08, 27 August 2012 (UTC)
