Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. While we appreciate that you enjoy using Wikipedia, please note that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a social network. Wikipedia is not a place to socialize or do things that are not directly related to improving the encyclopedia. Off-topic material may be deleted at any time. We're sorry if this message has discouraged you from editing this website, but the ultimate goal of this website is to build an encyclopedia (please see WP:NOT for further details). Thank you. contents box

[edit]

Dear Christina, type WP: contents box into the wikipedia search box in the upper right hand corner. Also, please follow Wikipedia rules for posting on my talk page. My talk page is so messy I can't find new messages. Dr Ashton (talk) 14:03, 20 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:York College logo.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think that your page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Pictures and footnotes

[edit]

Dear Christina,

Wikicommons has only non-copyrighted material. Therefore, it will not have every possible image. If you have non-copyrighted photos, you can upload them to wikicommons yourself.

Yes, footnotes are references.

Possibly unfree File:York College Cardinal.jpg

[edit]

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:York College Cardinal.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 20:52, 25 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not continue to upload files with missing or false information on their copyright status, as you did with File:York College Cardinal.jpg. Please note that Wikipedia takes copyright and copyright infringement very seriously. Images and other media may only be uploaded and included if they meet the conditions stated in our image use policy, and if their provenance is clearly documented. Hello, I'm Deb. An edit that you recently made seemed to be a test and it has been removed. If you want more practice editing, the sandbox is the best place to do so. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you.

The article Wikipedia Edit- Article based has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Seems to be original research.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nomination of Wikipedia Edit- Article based for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Wikipedia Edit- Article based is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Wikipedia Edit- Article based until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Lugia2453 (talk) 17:21, 2 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have now deleted this article, and am about to delete the other (though I will put the content in your sandbox). You may want to think twice as to what makes a good topic for an article. Look here, for instance. Note that any article created should also have a relevant title. --jbmurray (talkcontribs) 19:10, 2 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Christina geo. Regarding your note on my talk page, you'll see (above) that two weeks ago I already put the material from your deleted page in your sandbox. --18:17, 15 May 2013 (UTC)

Hi jbmurray

When I looked at my sandbox, I only saw one of the two edits that I made. I received the "wikipedia edit: Textbook edit" not the "wikipedia edit: article edit" --Christina geo (talk) 18:25, 15 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, the material from that article I added to the article on Leadership styles. But I've now added it also to your sandbox. --jbmurray (talkcontribs) 20:54, 15 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Oh ok! Well then I guess someone else deleted my post, because I already recieved the deleted section for "Leadership Styles." Thank you jbmurray however. It must have been anothe user.

--Christina geo (talk) 21:04, 15 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, my mistake. I confused the two articles. Have just added the material from the other one (which I couldn't see any way of incorporating usefully into any other Wikipedia article) to your sandbox, too. --jbmurray (talkcontribs)
