Hi Cpuwhiz11, Take a deep breath and calm down. I'll answer your question in a few minutes.--Duk 23:59, 13 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Permission for Wikipedia to use copyrighted work must be per the GFDL. See WP:C. When I get anonymous, second hand, vague assertions of permission which don't specify a GFDL release I ignore it.
You mentioned that you and your boss made this submission. If that is the case then your boss released the material per the GFDL by virtue of hitting the submit button (read the information directly below the submit button). All he has to do is identify himself on the article talk page as the Wikipedia editor and copyright holder. An email address for confirmation should be included. --Duk 00:10, 14 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit]Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. While the Wikipedia community appreciates your obvious efforts to increase the amount of information on the site, we'd like to point out our policy against original research and for citing sources for the information you provide. This increases the reputation of Wikipedia as a whole and aids in checking the factuality of that article. Werdna648T/C\@ 05:33, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
That's perfectly OK. We've all been new before, and i'd like to take this opportunity to, as well, welcome you to Wikipedia. Werdna648T/C\@ 07:33, 11 March 2006 (UTC)

Your VandalProof Application
[edit]Dear Cpuwhiz11,
Thank you for applying for VandalProof! (VP). As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact with the new 1.2 version release it has even more power. As such we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that not enough mainspace edits. Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again in the not too distant future. Thank you for your interest in VandalProof.

School Stub Creation
[edit]Hi - I noticed you've been creating a lot of stubs tagged as {{US-school-stub}}. The articles look good, but I just wanted to let you know that every US state has its own school stub template on the format of statename-school-stub. The only exception is Georgia, which is GeorgiaUS-school-stub to differentiate it from the country. Aelfthrytha 03:09, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
I have uploaded the following photos of MILO.
I've already set #4 as the default photo for the MILO page, because I believe it best represents the game as both First Person and Puzzle game (and because it looks cool). I suppose the other ones can be deleted after a while if they are not used. -- Eptin 00:30, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
SdKfz 252
[edit]The basic outline of the article is good. You have a good infobox, correct template, stub, etc... Now comes the hard part of finding pictures, expanding the introduction and history, adding references and citing facts. Quick note of caution. Make sure you do not use an acronym to begin with. Spell it out all the way followed by the acronym in parenthesis and the use the acronym the rest of the way. Always assume that the person reading the article has absolutely no knowledge of the subject. Hope this helps, if you need anything else let me know. --Looper5920 00:16, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
Core
[edit]Wow. You did a lot of work on Core, and it's looking much better. However, I don't think it's quite ready to have the cleanup tag removed -- it still needs tweaking to bring it into conformance with the Manual of Style for disambiguation pages (MOS:DP). Some things I note in particular:
- doesn't have a wiktionarypar tag
- piped links, obscuring the true name of the linked articles
- having more than one link in a line
- not beginning the line with the relevant link, where it's possible to do so
- ending lines with periods
- not ordering links within sections by prominence/significance/relevance
- links in article headings
For example, the first reference, when tweaked to fit MOS:DP, might read something like:
- Lithic core, in archaeology, a stone artifact left over from toolmaking
Note that it begins with the unpiped link, has no additional links in the line, and no period at the end.
Some of the items that are currently included on the page might need to be removed, as well. For example, there is no information about fruit cores in the article fruit, so I would likely remove that particular listing from the disambiguation page. There's a lot more judgement leeway on matters like that, though.
Thanks for working on disambiguation cleanup, and please let me know if you have any further questions about the items I listed above. And of course, MOS:DP is a good reference tool, too. Sanguinity 10:39, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit]I have nominated Turanic Raiders, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Turanic Raiders. Proposed deletion of Minor locations of Homeworld
[edit]The article Minor locations of Homeworld has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Gamecruft - no assertion of notability.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 06:22, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
Dear WikiProject Video games member,
You are receiving this message because you have either Category:WikiProject Video games members or {{User WPVG}} somewhere in your userspace and you have edited Wikipedia in the recent months.
The Video games project has created a member list to provide a clearer picture of its active membership.
All members have currently been placed in the "Inactive" section by default. Please remove your username from the "Inactive" listing and place it under the "Active" listing if you plan on regularly:
- Editing video game-related pages in the Article namespace
- Participating in video game-related discussions in the Project namespace (WT:VG, WP:AfD, WP:GAN, etc.)
Ideally, members are encouraged to do both, but either one meets our criteria of inclusion. Members still listed inactive at the beginning of November 2009 may be removed. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.
Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference
[edit]Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.
On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true
. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false
in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.
For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.
Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 18:22, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
