University of Prishtina
Take a look at the new article for the University of Prishtina. I am trying to clean out the mess from University of Pristina. The Serbian-language institution should have a separate page if at all.--Getoar (talk) 07:23, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

Your images
Hi. Like the new images that you are making for the graphics lab. Just a few things on licensing and sourcing. if you use one image to make another you need to say so in the image description. E.g. in Image:NF 1974 - 1978.svg you need to say that it is an autotrace of Image:NF 1974 - 1978.jpg and in the Africa maps (Image:Africa blank map.svg, Image:Africa blank map2.svg Image:Africa blank map3.svg) you need to say that they come from Image:BlankMap-World6-Equirectangular.svg (or wherever you cropped them). You need to do this for one reasons and should do it for a second one. Firstly you need to do it because licenses such as GFDL and CC require it, not doing it violates the copyright of the original. Secondly you should do it so that it's easy for other users to see where you're images are coming from, in case they want to do something similar or in case there are copyright problems with the original. Anyhow great work on fixing the images and if you have any uestions just shout =) /Lokal_Profil 22:06, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
- Add-on: It's especially important that you state your source when the original is not on Wikipedia/Commons such as for Image:Azat Party.svg. I filled out the source info for Azat Party.svg to illustrate but I'll leave the others for you. Pleas note that in general Fimages from crwflags.com are copyrighted./Lokal_Profil 22:13, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
Please give the history behind this image? Thank you for your kindness.

The Sega Project Barnstar
Thanks so much for the Barnstar, Cradel. The only tweak I had to make was to capitalize the P in "Project". Anyway, I see you've already made it a template, and I was wondering, how exactly does that template work? Am I going to have to substitute it? And thanks for joining the Sega Project, I think you're pretty much our artist now lol. Red Phoenix flame of life...protector of all... 01:30, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

Sega Project Barnstar, revisited
Hey, Cradel. I've got a question for you about the {{Sega Barnstar}} template that you made. Whenever users use it, the bottom always says "this wikiAward was given to {{subst:PAGENAME}} by ~~~ on ~~~~~" with no substitution whatsoever. That exact text is on each Sega Barnstar template. Can you help fix it? Red Phoenix flame of life...protector of all... 21:01, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

Addition of Greek and Macedonian versions of the name Albania in the intro for the Albania page and present-day Albanian area under Serbian rule
See my writings in the discussion for the Albania article. You are wrong and are basing your edits on personal beliefs and not with facts. You have not countered anything that I have written in the discussion. Either we use only the main language of the nation in question or we include all local languages deemed significantly different in appearance than that of the predominant local language ( as concluded in the analogous dispute in the MNE discussion). We must have consistency across the articles. Your edits would be less of an annoyance if they could be factually supported. I am bothered by your rejecting plain facts that I present (through easily viewable sources) as inapplicable/unimportant/false simply due to your emotional predisposition and prejudices. If we were in fact speaking non-anonymously or in person I would feel like saying something like, "Do as you please cope muti. Te qifsha, kurve." I am not certain if I'd say it, but I'd be thinking it. I just want to let you know the feeling that is being propagated by you due to your "bold edit". Don't bother replying. I won't read it. Don't take it too personally either - just realize that you have flaws with respect to your role in Wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gkmx (talk • contribs) 05:54, 21 June 2008 (UTC)

Hello
Bindi Çapriqi, please try to be more neutral even though we can see from your huge Albanian flag taking up 80% of your old user page and your templates that you're very pro-Albanian, on Wikipedia there are no pro-Serbs or pro-Albanians, we are all pro-facts. If something is a fact, accept it, no matter how much you're unhappy with that fact. Believe me, it will feel much better to accept it than to get frustrated over it, as I used to. I hope you understand, Bindi Çapriqi. All the best, --GOD OF JUSTICE 16:18, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
- Im pro-Albanian huh ?, what do you expect from an albanian. And fact are that consensus has been reached for Pristina, you say Priŝtina is right, I say Prishtina is, which is right ? Lets just say there is no right, which is best, Pristina. Seems quite fair and neutral to me, and those are the facts, so please stop pushing your point of view -- CD 17:16, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

- Ok. That's a big chunk of debate. If you could find a transcript I'd be happy to translate, but as it is, I'm not really prepared to transcribe the whole thing.
- Basically, here's an informal translation for your information only. The Minister for Foreign Affairs begins by saying that it's a very emotive situation for Serbia (there are 16000+ Serbs in Malta). The Hon. George Vella continues, saying that 'Kosovo is important because the Balkans are important' and that the recognition of Kosovo as a sovereign state is contentious because of the danger some European countries feel. In principle, if the Maltese government recognises Kosovo (and he personally feels uncomfortable being made to do so because of the effect it will have on Cyprus, Greece and Spain) the next issue must be what sort of help and assistance Malta can give to Kosovo. Hon. Leo Brincat follows, saying that like many of his collegues, his attitude towards the situation is 'fluid' and he feels that if all Balkan countries were absorbed into the EU it would be a 'stabiliser' in the region. He says that it is common knowledge that Serbia and Russia's position towards what the EU is trying to do in recognising Kosovo is (according to them) illegal. Hon. Beppe Fenech Adami 'for the record' says that countries of the region have 'overwhelmingly' recognised Kosovo and that this has great political weight. He is 'comforted' that the unilateral declaration of independence (and constitution) of Kosovo embraces the principles of the EU. He says that Malta must support Cyprus (as it always has) through its Northern occupation and must likewise help Kosovo, while recognising the preoccupations of Spain and Greece. He calls for the government to recognise the 'sui generis' nature of the Kosovo case but leaves any final decision (respectfully) up to the government. The Minister then concludes by saying that as a country within Europe, even if it's not a part of the EU, it must be treated as an important part of the region. He also says that Malta must help Kosovo if it is recognised.
- That's the long&short of it. golden bells, pomegranates, prunes & prisms (talk) 22:26, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Re: Skënderaj/Srbica
What sources do you have that Srbica is used more than Skënderaj in English, well, these are my reasons at least: the population is a majority albanian (hardly any serbs), google search, kosovo is a country/territory/whatever with albanian as a primary language, I can understand kosovo Polje because of the serbian history related with it but Skënderaj... -- CD 17:03, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
- Hi Cradel. First of all, keep in mind that our naming conventions request that we limit ourselves to use the names the greatest number of English speakers -our intended readership- would most easily recognize... the names they are used to find in English-language publications. Thus, for this specific purpose:
- the language & ethnicity of the local population is irrelevant. It doesn't matter whether they speak Albanian, Serbian, Turkish, Swedish or something else... nor does it matter whether they are all ethnic Albanians, Serbs, Turks, Swedes or Martians. What matters is the name by which the place is commonly referred to in English-language publications.
- simple Google searches are not an adequate form of gauging English usage (read about false positives). Try to use other methods.
- the official or primary language of the region in question is irrelevant. What matters is the name by which the place is commonly referred to in English-language publications.
- the region's place in and relation with Albanian, Serbian, Turkish, Swedish or Martian history, culture and civilization at large is irrelevant. What matters is the name by which the place is commonly referred to in English-language publications.
- Having clarified those points, let me answer your first question. I base my claim that English-language publications tend to use the name "Srbica" more commonly than the name "Skënderaj" on two simple grounds:
- My general perception of usage, the fruit of years of reading English-language publications.
- The usual simple tests, done by me in January 2007 in accordance to the methods proposed in our guidelines.
- I have yet to percieve that English usage has changed or see any solid proof that English-language publications have switched to using the name "Skënderaj" more often than "Srbica". — I hope this answers your questions :-) Best regards, Ev (talk) 17:58, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Shqiptaret ne Turqi
Eshte bere paksa qesharake kjo puna e shqiptareve ne Turqi. Ceshtja eshte qe edhe pse ata jane me origjine shqiptare, sot jane turq, nuk kane te bejne me me kombesine shqiptare. Ideja eshte qe eshte bere faqe qesharake me kete shifer prej 5 mln shqiptaresh ne Turqi, nderkohe qe ata nuk ndihen (e si pasoje nuk jane) me shqiptar.balkanian (talk) 11:27, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Use of rollback
It has come to my attention when reviewing a protection request that you appear to be using rollback inappropriately such as [1], and [2]. Please review Wikipedia:Rollback feature, misuse of this feature may result in it being removed. Rollback must only be used for vandalism and other blatantly non-productive edits. Is should not be used for content disputes or for reverting established users, even if they are edit warring themselves. For these kind of reverts please use undo and leave an edit summary, or preferably discuss the issue on the talk page. Camaron | Chris (talk) 13:46, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
