[edit]Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Grupo Modelo. While objective prose about products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Thank you. Please also see Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest/Noticeboard/Archive_39#User:Modelo_QA, you appear to be editing in a very similar manner which is a little suspicious but I'm assuming good faith for the moment. . If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Grupo Modelo, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
- linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Friendly advice
[edit]Reliable sources are published independently of the subject- they're things like newspaper articles, magazine articles, and books. Those are the kinds of sources you can use to confirm facts that you add to articles. Remember to actually cite a good source yourself; simply saying 'look in any source yourself' is not the same as citing a source. In addition, you should know that, under the conflict of interest guidelines, we all agree to avoid writing about ourselves or our own enterprises. If you're an employee of Grupo Modelo who wants to volunteer at Wikipedia, it might be better to work on improving a different article, to avoid any lack of neutrality. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 18:35, 22 December 2009 (UTC)
