Creating South African Ballet Articles

[edit]

My main interest pertains to articles surrounding the arts in South Africa. Feel free to ask questions. I am looking for an editor or someone similar to look through my articles and help decide the notability thereof. Thank youDanceEnthusiast (talk) 00:01, 21 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Have you asked at WP:WikiProject Dance or WP:WikiProject South Africa? That's where you'd find the respective subject specialists. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 09:16, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. I have posted on the WP:WikiProject Dance with no reply as of yet.
I mean I am happy you have kept in contact. Perhaps you can read through the article ion question that I have written and give me some feedback as too whether or not the article is objective and notable enough? The article in question is entitled Ruan Galdino and can be found in the draft section. Let me know what you think of it. In the interim I will begin discussion with WP:WikiProject South Africa

Your draft

[edit]

You need to click on the Submit box to submit your draft for review. The review usually occurs within days to weeks, by can be months before a reviewer selects it for review. You can continue to work on the draft while waiting. Reviewer will either accept, and move article to main space, Decline, giving reasons on what to fix, Reject, or Delete. I have a question related to submissions of articles. Does a person need to put a draft into the submission process or is a person able to move a draft into article space without going through the submission process? This is if a person has had editors review a draft independently of the submission process?DanceEnthusiast (talk) 15:05, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Ruan Galdino requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from the article namespace to a different namespace except the Category, Template, Wikipedia, Help, or Portal namespaces.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Please help me. I had mistakenly moved the articles into the wrong space. If you could help me to move the article back into the correct place without deleting it I would appreciate itDanceEnthusiast (talk) 18:01, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

June 2020: Ruan Galdino

[edit]

Hello; I'm glad you fixed some issues on the Draft: Ruan Galdino page, but I had to revert your change to the Talk:Ruan Galdino post by User:DESiegel because we never change the posts of others. It's actually forbidden. Would you mind adding a post of your own explaining how the situation DESiegel described has changed as a result of your editing the article? Thanks.--Quisqualis (talk) 17:54, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello apologies I was unaware of this rule.I will keep it in mind for the future. DESiegel described links to citations that were not of use in the article. He had made a list of different issues regarding different statements and citations in the draft. I took out the sentences and citations that DESiegel said I should, I then changed his message to update the list of issues that were still relevant to the article. In future how do I avoid making the mistake of deleting other users post while still keeping the talk space up to date?DanceEnthusiast (talk) 17:59, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

June 2020: Ruan Galdino

[edit]

I notice in your recent edits to the above article that you removed some source citations. Your edit summaries did not indicate to me what the justification was: Edited notability Important change; Notability changes; added correction don't give me any idea as to why you removed or changed material in the article. Would you please provide an explanation here as to the thinking behind your edits to Ruan Galdino? Thanks.--Quisqualis (talk) 18:04, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I edited these because the citations were lacking in notability therefore I removed them so that the draft would have only the citations on it that were of notability as well as being independant. I must be more dilligent when dealing with my source summariesDanceEnthusiast (talk) 18:12, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
