Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles, as you did to Mike's Radio World. Advertising, and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox", is strongly discouraged. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. -- Iván Sánchez(talk) 17:38, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

For the record: The page I added and Mike's Radio World are not commercial, not promotional and not soap boxes. But I decided to for now remove this page and add a link at internet radio instead, since it's hard to find enough info on Mike's to fully justify Mike's having it's own Wiki page, and all I really want is a link to Mike's to be provided at an appropriate place. However, this is not the best solution. What is needed is to rename List of internet stations to list of Wikipedia articles on Internet streaming media resources and provide a real list of internet radio stations. That's a lot of work though. It should be possible for someone interested in internet radio stations to consult Wikipedia to find them, and today, the information provided is very incomplete and not very useful. Also it's not good that links and even wiki pages are provided for Live365, Radio Roku and RadioTime but not for Mike's page. The link to Mike's page should of course also be at List of internet stations but that is "not allowed", according to the maintainer of that page - he wants that page to be free from external links, for some reason. --DavidGGG 17:24, 28 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, see my comments on Talk:List of Internet stations. Too Old 22:57, 6 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect of Mikes Radio World

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Mikes Radio World, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Mikes Radio World is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Mikes Radio World, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Play It Again, Sam (1972 movie), and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Play It Again, Sam. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Proposed deletion of Tiny Software

[edit]

The article Tiny Software has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This article does not appear notable enough and appears to be written from a promotional tone of view.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
