Thanks, Davius, that was a great addition. μηδείς (talk) 20:53, 10 June 2011 (UTC)
- Please, in order not to split the conversation, respond here or, if you prefer, on the article talk page, not my talk page. As you know, Dixon's views are not the mainstream, so you may find it problematic if you apply to much weight to his views in this article, while maps of smaller families which have their own articles should go in those articles if you create them. I suggest that you consider modifying the current map to distinguish between those groups Dixon holds to be genetic, and those he considers merely areal, which would be truly informative. I understand isolation can make obtaining other sources difficult, but you still might try approaching Claire Bowern for a PDF of her recent volume, so you will not be limited to one narrow, controversial viewpoint. - May be this new map will be more clear because it distinguish the fliogenetic groups from areal groups. Davius (talk) 14:44, 12 June 2011 (UTC)

responded on the talk page. this does look like it could be a mix up; on the other hand, with a single name being so often used for multiple related groups, it would be OR just to assume it is. — kwami (talk) 20:38, 10 April 2012 (UTC)
Security policy of EPN
[edit]Thanks for the message. Meet me in the article's talk page. We can discuss your concerns there. ComputerJA (talk) 00:34, 7 September 2012 (UTC)
- I replied on my talkpage too. Please read it, but make sure to go to the article. It's a lot easier from there. ComputerJA (talk) 00:55, 7 September 2012 (UTC)
East Timor languages
[edit]Hi Davius,
I'm archiving my talk page for the year, so I'll repeat myself here. Created the article Oirata–Makasai languages, but can't add the iw to WP-es como es "dañina". A couple concerns, though: It's not true that Ross (2005) thought this was a geographic group. He reconstructed proto–East Timor pronouns. Also, I don't see where Mandala et al. reconstruct the numerals. — kwami (talk) 03:03, 1 January 2014 (UTC)
- I meant the numerals you gave for proto–East Timor. Also, do you know where Kula belongs, or if Kaera is covered by an ISO code, per your comments on my talk page? — kwami (talk) 00:18, 2 January 2014 (UTC)
Sepik
[edit]Hi,
Could you label you Sepik-language map? (Not necessarily on the map itself; in its description page would be fine.) It doesn't correspond very well to what I've seen, and without labeling I can't tell how much of the family, or which version of the family, it corresponds to. Removing from the article for now. — kwami (talk) 23:21, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
[edit]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Davius. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Davius~enwiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name. If you think you might own all of the accounts with this name and this message is in error, please visit Special:MergeAccount to check and attach all of your accounts to prevent them from being renamed.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
