Captain symbol?

[edit]

Can I as why you are adding the "Bullet for New York City Subway C service" as a captains symbol rather than simply following the established convention of simply saying captain on team pages? Before continuing with this I recommend starting a discussion about it at the Village Pump. srushe (talk) 14:55, 30 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of David Groves

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article David Groves, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Unsourced, non-notable BLP

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Richard Dreyfuss

If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. (Diff) Nightscream (talk) 19:07, 20 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Deliboo24! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 103 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

The article Lucas da Silva has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. I'm afraid you should read the GArated article before you started you own work. And infobox and just a topic sentence is a worst "article". A good article should had citation and a reasonable in-depth content. Matthew_hk tc 03:31, 19 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Cyprus national under-18 football team

[edit]

Hello Deliboo24,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Cyprus national under-18 football team for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. EzPz (talk) 09:13, 1 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Italy national under-18 football team may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Belgium national under-16 football team requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. GiantSnowman 19:54, 19 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on DR Congo national under-20 football team, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

This article should be deleted as it hasn't enough data on it to actually have any use of it being on here and after careful searching around for stuff to put on this page it has been difficult to find things.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.
