Sorry, I was misreading that sentence. I took it as describing the various regions and types of terrain on which the battles were fought: on Sicily and the surrounding waters, and in the Apennines—that is, I thought it meant to emphasize the terrain. Cynwolfe (talk) 22:32, 7 October 2013 (UTC)
