Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page DJ Next has been reverted.
Your edit here to DJ Next was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.youtube.com/user/djnextone (redirect from http://www.deejaynext.com)) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 03:03, 18 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hello. The addition of exteral links was intended as more external/3rd party references for discography as this page is continuously being hijacked - see my first edits of today reverting page hijack/vandalism. I understand guidelines you have referenced in the block ("self-promotion") however in this case I did not think it violated them for the reason stated above. If the external links I added are considered self-promotion regardless, please remove them. Alternatively I can remove them if unblocked. Please message me if any further clarification is required. Thanks in advance. Ben. PS: Please also note that my first edits of today (reverting page vandalism/hijack) should NOT have been marked as minor edits, that was done by mistake. Djnextsymphonyproject (talk) 01:05, 7 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You seem to think that you have some sort of ownership rights over this article; you are also making entirely invalid accusations of vandalism and of hijacking. No further clarification is necessary. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆 𝄐𝄇 02:32, 7 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

  • Re; ownership - The changes i reverted included changes to page subject's country of birth/residence, web site URLs and affiliations/musical releases. They changed the articles content to that of another individual. My intent was to revert the article's content to reflect that of the article's original subject. It is the changes made on December 16 2016 that I was reverting that tend to indicate ownership surely - no references were provided, the page content was simply altered to reflect another person.
  • The edit made by Guy subsequently redirects the page to that of musical group that I am no longer a part of. I don't understand on what authority" that edit is made. The edit summary states "zero independent sources", which appears to indicate the user is essentially reverting the same changes I reverted today but provides no explanation as to why, rather than revert those changes, he would instead redirect the page to that of a musical group that the page subject (myself) is no longer a part of.
  • Re; promotional edits - I assume you are referring to the external links added in one of the last edits I made today. If so, I accept these violate the "self-promotion" guidelines and have already requested they be removed from my edits/stated I will remove them if allowed to do so.
  • Re; username - the username was not chosen with the intent of self-promotion but rather to clearly indicate the user making the edit is indeed the subject of the page being edited.
  • Re; account - this account was originally created with the sole purpose of making changes to this page yes. my reading of wikipedia guidelines regarding editing a page about one's self is that one is permitted to do so.

Thank you for any assistance/further info.

Decline reason:

It is clear that your only purpose here is to edit a page about yourself. Wikipedia's WP:AUTOBIO guideline says that suck activity is "discouraged". You were editing the said page without citing any reliable independent sources. Instead, you added links to your own Facebook, Twitter, YouTube,... profiles. Such activity is clearly promotional, thus also violating our WP:SPAM policy. You are also falsely accusing other editors of WP:VANDALISM, which violates our WP:CIVILITY policy. • Ignoring anything in my unblock request above, why does the page in question now redirect to Hilltop Hoods is my main question?
