Hello, Dlpham, and welcome to Wikipedia!

I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Getting the articles just right can be tricky - but there are lots of people to ask!

If you have any questions check out Wikipedia:Questions.

There are several ways of getting help:

  1. Leave a message on this page. It is on my watchlist, which means that I can see when the page is changed!
  2. Leave a message on my talk page - just click on talk in my signature
  3. Go into IRC Channel #wikipedia-en-help
  4. Leave a message on this page starting with {{helpme}} followed by your question - someone in the IRC help room will be over as soon as possible
  5. Leave a question on the Help Desk or on the New Contributors' Help Page

By the way, when you are writing on a discussion page (or someone's talk page), it is considered good manners to sign your comment... to do this, just add ~~~~ at the end of your comment. That will put your user name (Dlpham) and the date/time at the end (or you can click on the icon when you are editing. Never sign on an article page - only on a discussion page.

I am now going to sign below this box with my signature, by adding ~~~~ here:

Your user page

[edit]

I have removed the IP address (including from the publically-accessible history), as this is personal information which should not be shown on a highly-visible site like Wikipedia.

I have also removed the link to your youtube channel - Wikipedia is not for promotion, not even on user pages!

Regards, PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 23:17, 12 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You say in your message that I can't edit your user page. Although the page has your user name, it still belongs to Wikipedia. I removed your IP details as this is non-public information about you which is not suitable for inclusion on the page. I removed the link to your YouTube channel as this is not suitable content for a user page - it is promotional in nature, and not beneficial to your role as an editor on Wikipedia. You might like to read the Wikipedia's user page guidelines for more information about suitable and unsuitable content on a user page.
