We'd like to keep working on it and feel that in November when the book is released Mr. Patten will have increased notability in the media. Thank you.

I understand the confusion, and it has been changed. Thank you
Your submission at Articles for creation: J.T. Patten (February 26)

- You asked for details. First, about the promotionalism (promotionalism of his novels as an author, or promotional of his lecturing & writing as a security expert:
- "globally recognized expert" ; "notable authority" ; the entire government disclosure" section, which is boilerplate emphasising the general theme, that his books are significant because he has the correct intelligence background.
- the reliance on ICWatch, quoting from [1] " e have collected over 100,000 of these resumes from LinkedIn, Indeed, and other public sources and made them searchable with our search software" -- in other words, it is just a compilation of his own resumes for himself, and thus unreliable.
- The entire article is overemphasis on his qualification, and is thus appropriate for his personal website, not an encyclopedia article.
Second, about notability as an author of fiction. His one non self-published book has a total of 6 copies inUS libraries. I havent checked for reviews, butI doubt there would be any; hisself published books appear to be in no libraries at all. As for notability asa intelligence specialist, it'sharder to judge, but ifwe are going to use the standards of WP:PROF for the published papers, they are many too few and have vey few citations.
- But there is something even more important: WP:COI, considering this is the only article you have worked on, and considering your earlier username, If there's any financial connection with him or his agent or his publisher, or if you work for any of these, you absolutely must declare it according to WP:PAID. I feel that I am at an impasse writing this up. It meets criteria and is very similar to other notable authors and public figures on Wikipedia. Seems the rejection is biased an unfounded if you look at other thriller authors. Of course it will look like promotion because most interviews, articles, etc are the author being requested by media and reviewers about their work. Mr. Patten isn’t just an author, he is a recognized expert in counterterrorism and intelligence. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.4.230.147 (talk) 15:17, 23 October 2019 (UTC)
