Accusation of "vandalism" for mentioning California Genocide?
[edit]Hello,
I posted an edit on the Demographics of California page for clarifying the reason why California's American Indian languages are all endangered. The California Genocide has a name, is well documented, and directly impacted the prominence of California's indigenous people. At what point did my edit, both well-documented and topic-relevant, become "vandalism"? I am certainly not trying to "malicious removal of encyclopedic content, or the changing of such content beyond all recognition", but a genocide did occur in California and is one of the primary reasons for indigenous peoples' low population and high level of language endangerment. Both of these are central takeaways to the article's text about the state's Indigenous people. How would one go about making this relevant and obvious clarification without it being vandalism?
Thank you. 2601:586:CD00:8ED0:3C31:E70D:75BC:DA6B (talk) 13:51, 8 July 2024 (UTC)
